Ten is the magic number

Ten Blitz is a distinctive new take on sum-based puzzling, coming soon
  • Ten Blitz is a match-up puzzler where you need to create the number ten
  • Hit a target market and meet the goal in a variety of game modes to succeed!
  • Find it very soon on iOS and Android!

The puzzle genre on mobile is a vast and deceptively deep one. Virtually every iteration on a format has been done, so it always stands out when we get something relatively new and fresh. And in the case of Ten Blitz, whether it's due to the marketing of its developer team or just the format, it's certainly one that explains its format quickly and intriguingly.

The core gameplay of Ten Blitz is deceptively simple. Rather than something like a match-three you simply need to match two numbers which equals a ten. So, something like a 7 & 3 or a 6 & 4, simple right? Well, as you might expect things quickly get more complicated with differing modes and targets to hit, not to mention useful powerups to push the level along.

Add onto that the fact you can only match tiles diagonally or horizontally and it's a recipe for an intriguing twist on the match genre that I think we can all agree was growing a bit stale. Whether or not Ten Blitz holds up for long-term play though is up to you, the players.

Blitz it

I think Ten Blitz has a very good chance of being a success. I mean it's already well on the way, with significant interest from players and some features on the iOS App Store. However, as I said above I'm a little sceptical whether it can grasp people long-term, especially when nowadays virtually every puzzler has to saturate itself with events and flashy graphics to keep people intrigued.

Here's hoping that Ten Blitz's distinctive take on the formula manages to work out for them. Ten Blitz is now available for pre-order and is projected to release on February 13th

In the meantime, if you're struggling for more top puzzlers to work out your brain cells, don't fret! Instead, why not check out our lists of the top 25 best puzzle games for both iOS and Android to find great and distinctive releases you might not know about otherwise?
