Stardew Valley's highly awaited version 1.6 finally has a release date in sight on mobile and console
  • Version 1.6 will release on November 4th on mobile and console
  • The creator suggests starting over to make use of all the new features
  • Several festivals and refreshed mechanics will be part of this update

Stardew Valley has always captivated players with its thrilling updates. The highly anticipated version 1.6 was released back in March for PC, but mobile and console users have unfortunately had to wait. Well, there’s no need to anticipate anymore because the long-awaited patch is finally coming to these missing platforms - just a little over a month for all the new content to come to you.

The creator of Stardew Valley, Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone, recently took to X to confirm the release date. Barone also mentioned that most of the update’s content can be enjoyed with your current saves, but if you want to fully embrace the new additions, starting fresh might be a good option, especially since some of the new features affect the early game in distinctive ways.

Among the key features in Stardew Valley’s version 1.6 are new festivals and events, a new farm type known as Meadowlands, and a mastery system that makes gameplay feel more immersive. The patch also offers exciting enhancements like over 100 new lines of dialogue for villagers. Barone too has expanded the game's late-game content across all five skills.

Additionally, the update introduces Joja-themed end-game quests, giving you an alternative path to explore if you side with the infamous corporation. The Desert Festival is a major one, spanning three days and will kick off after the bus has been repaired. Two of the smaller ones include the Trout Derby and SquidFest.
