PSN Down Issues Reported As Users Experience Trouble Playing Games Online Over PlayStation Network

PlayStation Network is reportedly experiencing issues today, as a number of PSN down reports have come flooding in overnight as the service runs into more problems.

According to reports on social media (verified by VGC), users are unable to play games online, access the PlayStation Store, or verify licenses for digital software. The PlayStation’s Network Service Status page reports that Account Management, gaming and social services, PlayStation Video, and PlayStation Store are all experience issues.

We checked out DownDetector and it reveals that PSN started experiencing a major spike in issues at around 1.00am UK time, and while issues have since subsided somewhat, there are still users experiencing problems after 10.00am. According to the site’s statistics the majority of problems are related to service connection, followed by login and then online gaming.
