Activision brought the Tony Hawk series back in 2020 with Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2, remakes of the original two games that players absolutely adored. Since then however, the fate of the next two games being remade in the same way has been shaky, to say the least.
Just last year we heard that Activision had in fact rejected a pitch from developer Vicarious Visions, to do a remake of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 and 4.
But lately there has been new hope rekindled, that Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 is actually on its way. Earlier this month there were claims that remasters for 3 and 4 would be “shadow dropped” at Xbox’s showcase in June.
Just a day before that, professional skater Tyshawn Jones said in an interview that he’s in a new Tony Hawk game coming out. “I’m in a Tony Hawk coming out, that’s cool. They got a new one they remastering so that’s about to come out, I was in the last one,” said Jones.
Today, an easter-egg in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 seems to be giving us a date for when we can expect a reveal for the game. In a new map called Grind, a map set in a skatepark, there’s a skate store which has “03.04.25” displayed, with a logo above it that looks like the Tony Hawk Pro Skater logo.
Activision has yet to make any official announcement around a new Tony Hawk game, but all of this definitely points to us hearing something soon.
