Old School RuneScape invites you to Head to Varlamore in The Rising Darkness questline

• Slay the serpent Hueycoatl in Varlamore: The Rising Darkness
• Then head to Aldarin Island to practice mixology
• Finally, save the Colossal Wyrm from a termite infestation

When was the last time you slayed a massive beast? Jagex has got you covered as the latest update in Old School RuneScape comes with the opportunity to beat the giant serpent Hueycoatl. The iconic MMORPG has just announced the release of a new storyline called Varlamore: The Rising Darkness, which brings a brand new adventure for fans.

OG RuneScape players would obviously have visited the magical world of Varlamore in the past, and now it's back in OSRS once again. Get ready to return to the icy mountain peaks of the Hailstorm Mountains, where the ferocious serpent Hueycoatl lies. This epic Boss Encounter will prove to be an epic confrontation, but don’t worry, though - some unexpected allies will come to your aid as well.

A priest and some members of the Dwarven Party will stand strong by your side. Once all of y’all defeat the monster, you will receive a truckload of rewards including the Tome of Earth, a Dragon Hunter Wand, which is the first dragonbane weapon to be blessed with Magic, and the Hueycoatl Hide armour as proof of your bravery.

Once you’ve enslaved the serpent, you can move on to the gorgeous island of Aldarin, where your mixology skill will come in pretty handy as you participate in the Herblore Activity. You must master the basic alchemical elements as you will nurture, study, and accumulate herbs. Each has its own beneficial effects, which will come in handy in all the battles ahead.

Your final task is to protect whatever remains of the Colossal Wyrm as it is being infested by termites. Help Worm Tongue is achieving this task, and you will receive numerous rewards such as Agility XP.
