If you need a new deckbuilder to enjoy, then you're in luck because the critically acclaimed RPG of the same genre Gordian Quest is set to arrive soon on mobile. And we can also report that it's arriving sooner than you might expect, as Gordian Quest releases for iOS and Android on March 27th! So, let's find out what developer Mixed Realms has in store for us.
In Gordian Quest you'll experience an epic four-act campaign that'll take you all across the cursed fantasy world of Wrendia; from Westmire to the Sky Imperium. You'll be able to assemble a team of heroes from ten distinct classes, whether that be Swordhand, Druid or Golemancer.
Naturally, as you might expect from the genre there's a huge swathe of skills (almost 800) and passives to discover that can drastically alter your playstyle. That's not including items and loot to gear up your heroes with, and a variety of randomised maps, dungeons and skill combos to discover.
More besides
And that's still not all! Gordian Quest also comes bundled with two more modes. Realm Mode offers an endlessly replayable roguelite challenge with ever-changing threats and rewards. Meanwhile, Adventure Mode offers even more for those of you who master Gordian Quest, letting you take on solo challenges or explore even more procedurally-generated areas.
It's clear to see where Gordian Quest gets its inspiration from, what with the combination of both deckbuilding and that familiar D20 roll so popularised by CRPGs. But that's not to denigrate it, but instead to say that it looks as if it'll be great fun for fans of the genre.
