XD Games has dropped new gameplay deets for Etheria: Restart, the studio's upcoming RPG on PC and on mobile. Showcasing all its chops at Tokyo Game Show, the 3D title features an interesting turn-based summoning mechanic on top of its stunning visuals.

In Etheria: Restart, you can look forward to discovering an apocalyptic tale of humanity's desperate attempts to preserve its own survival. You'll dive into a virtual realm as a Hyperlinker, and it's up to you to ensure the human race outlasts the end of the world.

Combat is a turn-based affair, with five initial chapters to discover and a host of colourful characters to encounter along the way. There's no official launch date just yet, so it might still be a while until we can get our hands on this futuristic world.

I personally think it's pretty cool to battle alongside Animus to defend ourselves against invading viruses, and honestly, the way the characters are designed plus the jaw-dropping animations make me feel like this could be another Zenless Zone Zero in the making.

For now though, if you're on the hunt for more similar experiences, why not take a look at our list of the best action RPGs on Android to get your fill?

In the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Etheria: Restart on TapTap. You can also join the community of followers on the official Facebook page to stay updated on all the latest developments, visit the official website for more info, or take a little peek at the embedded clip above to get a feel of the game's vibes and visuals.

Pre-registration is also open on the official website, by the way, or you can head on over to the Steam page for now to know more.
