Quivering in anticipation
- Archero 2 is available now for iOS in Canada
- It's a sequel to Habby's popular action RPG
- The game has been in development for some time, just quietly
Grab your bow and a quiver of arrows because Archero 2 has arrived. Sort of, anyway. So long as you live in Canada, you can play the sequel to the popular action RPG today. There's nothing official from developer Habby yet on when it might come to other countries, but that's quite common with soft launches. Stay tuned to Pocket Gamer, though. We'll update you as soon as there are any changes.
So, what's Archero 2 all about? According to Habby themselves, it's 'better than Archero.' That's usually a good start for a sequel. I think we can all agree. And it's that improved follow-up message they're sticking with if you check out the App Store description. Everything is described as 2.0, including the combat, PvP, roguelike elements and the dungeons.
And, despite the soft launch state, there's plenty of content for Canadian iOS users to tuck into. At the time of writing, Archero 2 boasts 50 main chapters and 1250 floors of Sky Tower. This is all spread across three game modes – Defense, Room, and Survival.
As for the story, it's fairly straightforward. A brave hero has been tricked by the Demon King, falling into a trap and subsequently being turned to the dark side, leading evil troops into battle. That means the world needs a new hero to save it from these nasty fellows, and that person is you!
While we've only just picked up on the Canada soft launch, it was previously available in Australia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, according to AppMagic, with the App Store version history stating it goes back as far as June 14th, 2024.
If you are in Canada, you can grab Archero 2 from the App Store using the button below. Much like its predecessor, it's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. Sadly, the rest of us have to wait for now and enjoy the original.
