Enjoy one of the best indie games of the year as part of your subscription
- Balatro+ is the new addition to the gaming platform
- Numerous games have been updated too
- Expect several new games to be added next month too
As we get ready to close out this month, the iPhone manufacturer has released one final update for Apple Arcade, bringing a highly anticipated title to the gaming subscription service alongside a slew of other updates. After a bit of teasing, Balatro, one of the biggest indie hits this year, is finally part of Apple’s premier gaming platform.
Available in the App Store as Balatro+, you can enjoy this smash hit on just about any Apple device as long as you're subscribed to their service. If you haven’t heard about the game before, think of it as poker with power-ups. In Balatro, you will be able to combine poker hands with cards having different abilities.
Just like in actual poker, you must plan strategically. But here, you will also have to focus on creating distinctive builds that take advantage of all the joker skills at your disposal. It’s quite a wacky experience as the entire backdrop features a psychedelic world accompanied by a retro-futuristic synthwave soundtrack.
Besides that, a number of new updates have been released on the platform. The atmosphere in Crossy Road Castle is about to get tense as an Among Us collaboration kicks off with 20 new levels. Then in Hill Climb Racing, you can take part in the new sports-themed minigames while sprinting through the autumnal winds in Temple Run.
Synth Riders brings something new for Vision Pro owners in the form of a Groovin Essentials music back, and Disney Colouring Worlds adds more options for you with the release of a pop-up sticker book featuring Buzz, WALL-E, and Remy.
That’s not all because What the Golf? is hosting a nautical-themed event as you head underwater for some entertaining golfing at sea. And to top it off, the Tale of the Deep storyline finally concludes in SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit, where a battle with Master Udon awaits you.
If you're looking to find more titles on Apple Arcade to try out, here’s a definitive list of every game available on Apple Arcade right now!
