Alien: Rogue Incursion – Part One just got a new patch from developer Survios, who pushed patch 1.08 live, today, for all PS VR2 players.
There are plenty of fixes in the patch, but the big highlights are the “major” rebalancing effort Survios has done for how Xenomorphs spawn.
When Rogue Incursion launched, you couldn’t go five minutes without more Xenomorphs spawning to track you down. Whether you were being loud or not, it felt like they were on a timer, and you’d have to deal with a new batch of Xeno’s at every juncture.
What Survios has done for this update, is adjust the hearing and vision of Xenmorph’s, “to avoid spawning in overwhelming numbers and too accurate awareness of the player’s location.”
The other big addition in this patch is that the game now supports save history. So you’ll be able to load previous saves now, should you feel the need/want to.
In regards to the Xeno rebalancing, hopefully this does shake up the gameplay. Needing to stop and stomp Xeno’s every few minutes took a lot of the tension out of the action, as we noted in our review of Rogue Incursion.
And this is also just Part One of a two-part story. It’ll be interesting to see how Survios continues to develop its enemy A.I. for Part Two. In the meantime, you can check out the full patch notes for update 1.08, below.
