If you’re looking for a good way to get extra outfits or items in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and you happen to have a shelf (or more) full of amiibos, then you’re in luck.
There are a total of three outfits which can be obtained using specific amiibos, and then you can use a range of Amiibos to get three hand-outs of ingredients each day. There’s also a trick which allows you to get more than three daily hand-outs, but more on that later.
How to use Amiibos for Zelda Echoes of Wisdom
You’ll be able to start using your amiibos to get items as soon as you exit Hyrule Castle and step foot onto Suthorn Beach. After this point, press the Plus button and navigate to the System tab of the main menu. Then, using the left Joy-Con, select “amiibo” to open up the game to recognizing what you’re putting down.
To scan an amiibo, simply place it over the right Joy-Con (or the NFC touchpoint below the Switch logo if you’re using a Nintendo Switch Pro controller), and the game should immediately recognize which Amiibo is being scanned.
All items obtainable with Amiibos in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom
Most of the time, you’ll get a selection of Smoothie ingredients for each Amiibo you scan, up to a maximum of three times each day. However, there are three outfits that can be obtained first. These outfits are obtained by scanning the following Amiibo:
Amiibo | Outfit |
Any Link amiibo | Red Tunic |
Any Zelda amiibo | Blue Attire |
Any Ganon amiibo | Black Cat Clothes |
Getting these outfits does not count towards your daily limit of three scans, so you can use the same amiibo again to get a selection of ingredients immediately afterward.

How to get more scans in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
If you want to get more scans and stockpile some Smoothie ingredients, you can do this by changing the system time on your Switch. While I really recommend this course of action, I can also understand the hardship that comes with being devoid of ingredients and having to rely on raw berries for health.
If you take this route, I’d recommend changing the date back a year and then progressively changing it forward by one day in order to get new scans. It can be quite annoying, as you have to entirely close down the game before you can change the date, but it’s there if you want to hoard Electro Apples or Bubble Kelp.
