Indy took #2, but Xbox still had #1 as well!
If you've been wondering how well Indiana Jones performed following its launch earlier this month, we've got good news! It's been revealed that the game was second for US dollar sales for the week ending December 14th.
This is according to Circana (NPD) analyst Mat Piscatella, who revealed that Indiana Jones only trailed another Xbox title in the form of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 as the best-selling video game (for dollar sales) of that week.
There are a couple of particularly interesting things about this. The first is that Indiana Jones is an Xbox Game Pass title across console and PC, and yet still managed to come second in the charts just a few days after launch.
The other is that the sales figure doesn't take the early access release on December 6th into account, which means everyone who paid for the Premium version isn't represented in these figures. There's no way of knowing right now, but we're assuming Indy might have finished in first place if all of its launches had taken place in the same week.
It doesn't really matter - the main takeaway is that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle got off to an impressive start in the US a couple of weeks ago, and we're intrigued to see the final results for the entire month in the near future.
