10. Make Maximum Use of the Tools at Your Disposal

You want to pull up the controls menu as many times as possible to grow familiar with the tools at your disposal. Moreover, you need to practice the combat skills you have access to, mastering how to make the most of them at opportune times.

The hunters, for instance, need to throw potatoes every chance they get. You want to throw potatoes at literally every prop you see, especially in the regions where the marker tells you there’s a witch hiding nearby. 

It helps that you can throw potatoes to an unlimited range, so get cracking. Also, you can click the primary attack button repeatedly to throw the ranged weapon faster. Keep in mind, though, that this will drain your stamina more quickly, which will require taking breaks to replenish.

9. Watch Out for the Purple Lights

Whenever you throw a potato at a prop that a Witch has cloned or possessed, the prop will grow purple. This is the indication you need to know that you have found a Witch. There are also audio cues you can pay attention to. In addition to glowing purple, a cloned or possessed prop will scream. 

8. Use Melee Weapons to Hit Multiple Props at Once

The ranged throwables come in handy when you want to cover a vast area at an unlimited range. However, you can make use of your secondary melee weapon, too. Primarily because the melee weapons pack a heavier punch that can hit multiple props at once. While at it, be sure to hold the secondary primary attack button to charge the melee attack. However, while the attack will be stronger, the damage output will remain the same.

7. For Witches, Constantly Change Props

Whenever you clone or possess a prop, your current health percentage is applied to the maximum health of the prop. This means that every time you switch props, you stand a chance to gain some extra health. Most importantly, not all props are the same. Larger props grant you more HP but at the deficit of being easier to spot, hit, and escape from. Additionally, you want to constantly change props to keep Hunters on their toes. 

6. Use Chickens on Open Grounds

Chickens are Hunters’ secret weapon. They can use them to scream when there’s a Witch nearby, keeping in mind that the screams can sometimes be false positives. In any case, the chickens work best when you’re hunting for Witches on open ground. Some more tips: throwing the chicken can allow them to cover more ground. Also, throwing potatoes at your chicken allows them to propel and cover more ground. But this comes at the expense of then having to search a wider space to find the Witch.

5. Use Body Slam on Open Grounds, Too

Meanwhile, using the Body Slam also makes sense on open ground. As Hunters fall, you can activate Body Slam to inflict damage on nearby Witches and prompt them to scream, thus revealing their location.

Witch it is far more than hide and seek. Sure, the main hide-and-seek is a lot of fun, especially for Witches. However, Hunters can greatly enjoy the Mobification mode. This is where Witches become Hunters once spotted. Of course, a player that used to be a Witch and then becomes a Hunter can now go after other Witches who they probably already saw where they were hiding.

1. Unlock New Skills by Gaining XP by Playing More Matches
