- The story takes place during the Ten Kingdoms era
- Step into the shoes of a swordsman embarking on a difficult journey
Everstone Studio has just announced that the debut of their martial arts-inspired adventure, Where Winds Meet, is just around the corner. It is set to release on PC in China later this month, while iOS and Android versions will follow next year. Get ready to step into this open-world experience which takes place during the fading days of the Ten Kingdoms era.
Where Winds Meet is centred around a time when dynasties rose and fell in the blink of an eye. There is a particular focus on the end of the Southern Tang Dynasty, an era steeped in political unrest and poetic tragedy. You step into the shoes of a swordsman born into these tumultuous times, facing decisions that intertwine with the dynasty’s fate.
The adventure is an intricate blend of martial arts combat with open-ended storytelling. You’ll master Wuxia-inspired techniques like wall-walking, running on water, and Tai Chi counterattacks, allowing you to craft a combat style that suits your approach. The hero you choose could be anyone - a doctor saving lives, a merchant doing business, or even an NPC roaming in Kaifeng City.
No matter who you choose, you will engage in various types of combat. Whether you’re using acupuncture to gain an edge or wielding the Lion’s Roar to turn the tide of battle, you make the decisions. You aren’t bound and have immense freedom to create your own combat style and write your own martial legend.

Beyond combat, the world offers countless opportunities to explore and engage. The environment is richly detailed, with historical authenticity at its core. From the gentle sway of bamboo forests to mysterious stone figures, every corner of Jianghu is waiting to be explored. The free construction system allows for an open-ended sandbox experience as well.
Where Winds Meet will be released on PC on December 27th, followed by Android and iOS releases in early 2025. Visit the official website for more information.
