Hey there, welcome to our latest edition of The Wrapp.
This is a chance for you to see what the various members of the Pocket Gamer team are planning to play over this weekend and will, hopefully, give you an idea of some of the weird and wonderful things we get up to when we’re not keeping you up to speed with the latest news and tips. Heck, you might even find a new game to play.

Well, for a start, it’s safe to say that I’m definitely going to be doing my daily trawl of Pokemon TCG Pocket as they’ve now launched the Dialga and Palkia packs and… goodness me, some of the artwork on the new cards is absolutely stunning. Additionally, as I speculated on the podcast (you’ll have to wait for next week to hear it) as Card Games are all about confusing people with awkward verbs and descriptions, this one is going to be a complete hoot: There’s everything included from cards that randomise rival energy supplies to cards that force a redraw based on the number of victory points somebody has. Tools are also in, opening up the field for berries and other mischief in future.
Pocket aside, I’ve gotten back into Dicey Dungeons and I’m likely to not escape from that for a while. I’m also keen to check out BUMP! Superbrawl which is the latest effort from Ubisoft and — at least visually and nominatively — channels a lot of Supercell energy and appears quite promising.
Outside of handheld gaming, I’m wrapping up Dynasty Warriors: Origins, trying to gather a decent group of pals for Dark and Darker (so I’m ready for the mobile release), and — frankly — preparing myself for the rapidly approaching Civilization 7 launch.

Cards are definitely on the cards for me this weekend, as I've recently finally started playing Hearthstone despite everyone around me telling me I shouldn't. I know for a fact that it's going to swallow me whole - and oddly enough, I'm all too willing to volunteer as tribute. The StarCraft mini-set has launched, you see, and I'll be damned if I don't grab the opportunity to play as the Queen of Blades once more and sic my Zerg minions on anyone who dares to stand in my way.
Of course, I say that like I'm some kind of formidable expert when I'm anything but, because I'll likely spend a good chunk of the next two days fumbling through the cards with no idea what to do. Thankfully, Pokemon TCG Pocket has also launched its latest expansion packs, and my goodness - that's going to swallow me whole too.
Suffice it to say there will be no socialising or any adulting of the sort happening this weekend.

My Wuthering Waves quandary was solved pretty quickly last week, in that I read the skills that Roccia offered and immediately threw Danjin into the trash. Was sad times, she was fully kitted out. To my surprise, I also managed to pull Roccia three times so I have her best passive skill unlock. If surprise means, “I grinded every piece of Astrite I could find.”
All this to say, I am back in the Wuthering Waves rabbit hole. Even doing the most menial, bottom-of-the-barrel task to get that currency was a joy, and you rarely get that when grinding. I will be sprinkling in some Hitman 3 along the way. Last night, I completed all the objectives in Paris, but it will be a Wuthering Waves-heavy weekend.

To help me get in a good mood, I always have my cats beside me - and while randomly searching the Google Play Store I came across a cute little game called Divineko. It’s really simple, and it’s fun. You play as a cat, and you have to draw various shapes to defeat the enemies. I think I’ll just pass some time trying to pass a few more levels in that, while I’m not decorating my kingdom in Cookie Run Kingdom.
I’ve recently also updated Love and Deepspace, which is a game near and dear to my heart (if you know, you know). I plan on catching up on the latest events, and rekindling my relationships with Xavier and Sylus - it’s been a while, hopefully they forgive me!

I am not going to lie, I have been feeling under the weather at the start of the week and then have been extremely busy for the rest of it. Every single weekend for the last three weeks, we have had a birthday party to go to. So, over the weekend, I will be juggling Pokemon Go and a birthday. It’s a Gigantamax day, which is always a challenge, as you need a lot of people with good Pokemon to beat it. It’s also just a lot of chaos! I am hoping to get Neopets re-synced back so I can get more prizes in their match-3 puzzler. However, I have had no luck so far as about two updates back, it seems to have deleted my account. :(

Curse you LOK Digital and your nonsense-word word games! There was a time when I dedicated my gaming time to stopping the resurrection of dark gods tearing down corrupt empires or jumping on turtles to save royalty, but now? I find myself enjoying puzzlers more and more. Is this what maturing feels like? It's a bit itchy, but I'm gonna roll with punches and see what's waiting on the other side of the fist.
I think the big thing in my library is early access to Dark And Darker Mobile which looks like it won't be crossplay. It needs to pick up the slack so it can compete with games like Warframe which connects everybody! Still, I guess DnD - no, not that one - connects people in different ways and I hope to see for myself.
My weekend is looking quite packed, so sadly there’s not much in the way of gaming for me. But that just gives me more time to mull over the sad loss of a whopping six(!) upcoming releases from Netflix Games’ catalogue. I’ve been an occasional user of Netflix Games, but always meant to dip into their impressive indie catalogue when I had time. Unfortunately, it seems my prior prediction they would sacrifice their weird and wonderful variety of games to focus on tie-ins may turn out to be truer than I would have liked.

This weekend, I’m playing, three games. First up is Mu: Dark Epoch. I told you about this one before since I've been on it for quite some time now. It's an MMORPG with a somewhat dark theme. My character is in the top 20 strongest of the server, so it's been quite fun.
Next, I’ll switch gears to Go Go Muffin. I am playing this one together with Cristina. It's a new fun AFK RPG with super clean graphics that gives you the chance to try out different builds.
Finally, I’ll jump back into Soul Knight Prequel, a retro-style action RPG with roguelike elements. I played a ton during seasons 1 and 2, but I kinda skipped season 3, and now I'm curious to find out about all the new classes and gears in the game.

I've been very much enjoying playing through God of War Ragnarok over the past while and I'm looking forward to diving into it more. The combat is delightfully crunchy and everything looks absolutely stunning. I can't say the story is as enthralling as the original, though. It seems to be going around in circles for the most part, with Kratos and Atreus having the same conversation over and over.
As for mobile, like Dann, I might hop into Bump! Superbrawl. Of all the big developers, Ubisoft is one of the few who take it seriously rather than simply slapping a well-known IP on an endless runner and hoping for the best. Okay, okay, they do a bit of that, but Brawlhalla has proven successful on its own merit, so I have some hope for Bump!
