I was really excited when I first heard about the launch of the Redmagic 10 Pro, so once I got my hands on it, I started looking into every little feature it has to find out if it was worth all the hype - and in this Redmagic10 Pro review, you'll read all about it.
Let's dive right into the exciting stuff!
The features on the Redmagic 10 Pro
When it comes to the features, I took the Redmagic 9S Pro as a point of comparison. In short, although they look similar, the 10 Pro feels A LOT better and performs in a league of its own. I'll talk more about this below though.

Performance-wise, it offers one of the smoothest gameplay experiences I've ever had
For most of us, we all have that one game we love that eventually ends up overheating our phone and making it crash. Well, I tried a million on the Redmagic 10 Pro, and none of them managed to overheat it or make it crash.
I started with Cookie Run Kingdom, which although is pretty "behind" in terms of graphics quality, it requires a lot to run. If you know, you know. I mean, there was a joke going around on Reddit saying that if you're cold in winter, just run Cookie Run Kingdom on your phone and you've got a warming device.
CRK hasn't made this phone overheat at all, which I am genuinely impressed by.
Next up, Genshin Impact: this one is notorious for not running that well on some phones, but again, no problem for me!
Lastly, I decided to give two games I've had difficulty running a go: GRID Autosport and Alien: Isolation. No problem running either at max graphics, and the phone didn't even break a sweat. I have absolutely nothing but praise and admiration.
The integrated cooling fan probably had a role in all this
Since everything I ran put quite a heavy load on the graphics processor, I have to hand it to the cooling system that's integrated into the device. This is a work of art, and although it activates automatically, you can tweak it from the Settings menu. You can also run the Game Space, add your fave RPG or puzzler there, and let the phone's integrated AI do the rest.
It's just brilliant, regardless of how you look at it.
The Redmagic 10 Pro is not just a gaming phone - it's also a great everyday phone
Let's set aside the gaming stuff for a moment, and talk about what makes it stand out from all the other phones on the market.
As everyday people, we all need to communicate, use social media, watch videos and even sometimes work from our phones. Well, on this particular one, you can do all that and not have to worry about running out of battery or putting too much strain on the processor or graphics card.
For instance, I often split the screen and ran a game on one half while using the other half for texting, browsing social media, or even checking in at work (my laptop feels leagues behind the phone in that regard, admittedly, which is why I used the phone).
All in all, you can multitask without any issues - you can watch videos and enjoy the outstanding sound quality (might be just me, but it feels improved when compared to the previous model), and even take Instagram-worthy pictures.
The camera is really good in daylight, but slightly off during nighttime
There are a couple of features that are not as good as I had hoped but still surpass my expectations. If you've read my previous reviews, you know my main phone was a ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. I couldn't really take great pictures, and I thought, "It must be because it's a gaming phone." Well, on the Redmagic 10 Pro, the camera takes really great pictures, and it doesn't compromise on the gaming features at all.
During daylight, all the pictures you take can be featured in Discovery Magazine - they're that good (of course, if you are a good photographer. I suck). The macro function, the panoramic view, and everything else are spot-on.
However, during nighttime, some of that quality will drop. I mean, I kinda expected that to happen, so for me personally, it was not a huge disappointment. Don't take me wrong - it still takes great pictures. It's just that they're not as high-quality as the ones you take during daylight.
Did the front camera improve?
I complained about the front camera in the 9S Pro review, and with this model, I do see some improvements!
It's still not a camera to use for high-res high-quality pics, but it will do the job. I cannot shake the fact that it still has a beauty filter you need to turn off if you want to look even remotely real, but hey - that's a feature, not a bug, correct?
Battery life for days!
Battery life is something crucial when it comes to gaming phones, and on the Redmagic 10 Pro, it is there, and it lasts up to 52 hours on standby. I have to add - it does last quite a long time even if you play for a few hours every day (as I do when I do all my dailies), and if I were to take it from 100%, I'd still have between 80-90% in the end.
I cannot express how good that is, because with this 7050 mAh dual battery, you can charge your phone twice to three times a week. Of course, that changes depending on how much you use it, but generally speaking, you can safely use it for two days without needing a charger. At least, that's how it was in my case.
Last but not least, this phone looks bonkers!
I can't not mention the details of the design of this phone. Aside from the cooler which is RGB-coloured, the back of the phone has a sleek design with lots of details that make you not want to use a case on it - ever.
On the front of the phone, you have a 95.3% screen-to-body ratio, with a seamlessly integrated front camera that won't take away from your screen at all. I am genuinely impressed with Redmagic 10 Pro's design, and everyone who's seen me use it has been too.
You can purchase the Redmagic 10 Pro on the official Redmagic website, and it goes for $649 for the Shadow (12+256 GB) version, or $799 for the Moonlight and Dusk versions (16+512 GB).
