PUBG Mobile reveals sneak peek at content coming next year as the PMGC 2024 concludes
  • 2025 begins with the Metro Royale Chapter 24
  • 7th anniversary party and Rondo map to be introduced in March
  • $10 million to be infused in esports initiatives

With the conclusion of the highly anticipated 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship in London, major updates were revealed for the future, setting the stage for an exciting year ahead. From a record-breaking $3 million prize pool to the introduction of new content and esports initiatives, there’s a lot to look forward to.

We first begin with January’s Metro Royale Chapter 24, which will introduce a new gameplay mode and refined mechanics. Enhanced blue zones and improved airdrop systems promise more dynamic and challenging experiences for those diving into this tactical survival mode.

This will be followed by PUBG Mobile’s 7th-anniversary celebration in March 2025. Next year, the battle royale will embrace the theme of the Hourglass, symbolising time and transformation. This celebration will bring in the Time Reversal skill and reintroduce features like the Floating Island. Expect a nostalgic makeover as golden sands and classic designs come back.

Also arriving in March is Rondo, an 8x8 km map inspired by traditional Asian architecture and urban cityscapes. Originally introduced in PUBG: Battlegrounds, it is now optimised for mobile with its visually rich environments and new challenges. If you’ve got a creative flair in you, the Nexstar Program partnership is something you shouldn’t miss.

On the esports front, PUBG Mobile is expanding grassroots opportunities to help amateur competitors level up. With over $10 million allocated to prize pools, female-focused events, and third-party tournaments, 2025 is going to have something for every competitor out there.
