More Candy, more rewards

Pokemon Go welcomes Gigantamax Gengar and limited-time goodies in latest Halloween event
  • Gigantamax Gengar debuts in Max Battles
  • Grab more Shiny Pokemon for a limited time
  • Halloween-themed costumes abound

It's all about the chills and thrills over at Pokemon Go this month, as Gigantamax Gengar and more aptly themed Pokemon join the fray until November 3rd. In particular, the Halloween 2024 Part II event welcomes Froakie and Rowlet donning an adorable Pokemon Halloween costume among other limited-time goodies.

In the latest update to Pokemon Go, you can look forward to witnessing Gigantamax Gengar's debut as well, which will happen in six-star Max Battles beginning October 31st. Even bonuses include twice the number of Candy when you catch Pokemon, as well as a boosted chance to encounter Shiny Zorua in the wild.

If you happen to be at Level 31 and above, you can also enjoy an increased chance to score Candy XL when you catch Pokemon successfully with Nice Throws. By the way, there's no better time than now to get those Raids going, as you'll have a better chance to encounter Gengar in a Spooky Festival costume, Drifblim adorned in a Halloween Mischief costume, Umbreon, and more.

As for the event-exclusive Timed Research, you can take advantage of this from October 22nd until November 3rd, which will be focused on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Clearing research tasks will reward you with encounters with Morpeko and Spiritomb among others.

All these are simply scratching the surface of what's in store for you, but in the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Pokemon Go on Google Play and the App Store. It's a free-to-play title with in-app purchases.
