Phoenix 2 has just released a major content update featuring a brand new campaign

• Version 7.0 comes with a slew of new features

Phoenix 2, Firi Games’ popular shoot 'em up title, has just dropped a major update that is packed with new features. The version 7.0 patch has just introduced a new Campaign mode, customisable player tags, and full support for game controllers, making the game more accessible than ever.

The brand-new campaign in Phoenix 2 is bound to keep you occupied for a while. Unlike the daily missions you might be used to, the Campaign allows you to progress at your own pace. Alongside that, custom player tags have been introduced, allowing VIP members to personalise their leaderboard entries for some more bragging rights.

If you’ve been hoping for a more tactile approach, the update also includes full controller support. Plus, this support extends to iOS 18’s Game Mode, offering smoother and more responsive gameplay for controller users. That’s not all because the title’s UI has also been refreshed with brand new wave progress indicators and a new timer feature for speedrunners. 

And for the veteran players out there, there’s a sweet new addition. If you’ve been a dedicated pilot for over one year, you’ll now see a special veterancy indicator on your Pilot screen. It’s a nice little nod to the dedicated players who’ve been going at it for a while.
