It's all part of the tenth anniversary celebrations
- Kabam has announced a swathe of upcoming content for Marvel Contest of Champions
- Two new characters are being added to celebrate Halloween while another two are getting reworked
- All players can enjoy 60 FPS from November 4th
As you might already know, Marvel Contest of Champions is currently celebrating its tenth anniversary with a series of big events and updates. Today, Kabam has announced even more things to excite fans of their long-time fighter, including a Halloween event, reworks and the promise of 60 FPS for all players.
That's a lot to get through, so let's jump right into it. First of all, as part of the Glorious Guardians Reworks, Medusa and Purgatory are receiving surprise tweaks to bring them in line with how the game has progressed since they were added to the roster a few years ago. The pair will arrive with their new tools on October 7th.
Then, on October 9th, the Multiplayer Super Season and Bounty Missions will kick off before the abilities for all players to enjoy Contest of Champions at 60 FPS arrives on November 4th. For a fighter, that's a huge deal, meaning that your inputs should feel much smoother and enjoyable as a result.
Phew. That's a lot, and we haven't even spoken about the spooky stuff yet. The Halloween season promises even more stuff to enjoy, including new characters Scream and Jack O' Lantern, who will debut on October 17th and 31st, respectively.
That's not all the scares you have to look forward to, however. There's also the House of Horrors Event Quest, which sees Jessica Jones and The Summoner teaming up to work on a case. Beyond that, you can participate in the Jack's Bounty-full Hunt Side Quest. In it, the titular Jack O' Lantern takes on hosting duties of the Gladiatorial Games. That couldn't possibly go awry, could it?
Marvel Contest of Champions is available now on the App Store and Google Play, where it's a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. You can download it for your preferred platform using the links below.
