Whatever your reason for wanting one, there’s a way to trigger a Solar Eclipse in Fisch without simply waiting for a miracle.
Good for fishing up a storm and downright essential for grabbing a rare item needed to open a mysterious door, knowing how to trigger a Fisch Solar Eclipse event will have you become the life of every party on the server.
The most common way to trigger a Solar Eclipse is to let nature take its course.
This particular Fisch event, introduced in UPD 2, which brought the Ancient Isle to the game, is a naturally-occurring phenomenon like Aurora Borealis. That means it’s largely down to dumb luck—supposedly around 10% when the dawn of a new day starts.
But there’s a second, guaranteed way to trigger the Solar Eclipse event, giving you a sure-fire way to grab the Solar Fragment on the Ancient Isle.
You can manually trigger the event this way by heading to the secret cave around the back of the Ancient Isle and picking up the Solar Eclipse Totem for 250,000C$.
It’s a lot of cash. In fact, it’s one of the most expensive items in the whole game. So you’d better be sure you can make your money back when you use it.
Given the Eclipse Totem is generally used to grab the Solar Relic, which technically requires three more people to properly use, you can always find a way to share the cost with other players. Trading (when it arrives) or sharing Fisch to aid in Bestiary completion is one such way.
