Time to flex your tactical muscles
- Strategise the best moves across the battlefield
- Take advantage of varied skill combos
- Explore the fantasy land of Argenia
Kemco has announced that pre-registrations are now open for Eldgear, the studio's retro-inspired SRPG on iOS and Android. Put your tactical prowess to the test across this charming pixel-art adventure, where you can bear witness to the dawn of magic across the land of Argenia.
In Eldgear, you can look forward to diving into turn-based battles with a variety of strategic choices when it comes to your attacks and elements. You can unleash devastating damage across a wide area to get rid of foes with ease, or charge head-first all by your lonesome to catch your opponents off-guard.
You can also tinker around with EMA (Embedding Abilities) and EXA (Expanding Abilities) to see which kind of playstyle suits you best, then master the right combos to create super special moves that lead to victory. Of course, all these are presented with retro-inspired animations and pixel-art visuals to bring on all the nostalgia, adding to the appeal of the SRPG for fans of old-school gaming.
Does that sound like it's exactly your cup of tea? If you're on the hunt for more nostalgic vibes, why not take a look at our list of the best retro-inspired games on iOS to get your fill?
In the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Eldgear on Google Play and the App Store. It's a premium title that costs $7.99 a pop or your local equivalent. The App Store gives it an expected launch date of October 17th, but do that that with a grain of salt as these things often change without notice.
You can also visit the official website for more info, or take a little peek at the embedded clip above to get a feel of the title's vibes and visuals.
