Disney Pixel RPG, the retro-inspired take on the classic multimedia world, is out now
  • Disney Pixel RPG is out now worldwide for iOS and Android
  • A retro-inspired RPG with gorgeous pixel graphics it lets you fight alongside your favourite Disney icons
  • Build your own character and explore a dreamlike world of adventure

Disney Pixel RPG, the retro-inspired title from GungHo Entertainment, is out now on iOS and Android worldwide. Seeing you create your own avatar and battle alongside iconic heroes and villains from Disney films and franchises throughout history, it promises to be a highly-anticipated new title for anyone who grew up with these movies.

If you're sceptical about auto battles too, you'll be glad to know that Disney Pixel RPG also lets you take direct control of the flow of combat. AFK rewards are also an integrated feature, meaning you can gather resources while you're not playing by sending parties on expeditions.

And while you're not battling to save multiple worlds, all also inspired by Disney properties, you'll be able to interact with and discover new versions of your favourite characters to add to your roster. Add onto that a board-game-themed set of challenges and a mysterious new story to unravel and Disney Pixel RPG seems to promise a compelling package.

A bit Goofy

The Disney multimedia machine is probably one of the most omnipresent parts of modern pop culture. So it's no surprise that a new game is on the cards for one of the world's largest cultural juggernauts. However, I reckon it's fair to say that Disney Pixel RPG is very much a game for fans, and fans only. But I wouldn't be surprised if GungHo are able to draw in some sceptical players by virtue of their previous work.

But in the meantime, if Disney Pixel RPG still hasn't enticed you, don't fret. Instead, why not check out some of the games that we've listed on our constantly evolving ranking of the best mobile games of 2024 (so far)?
