Clash Royale debuts spooky new advert just in time for Halloween
  • Clash Royale has debuted a new seasonal advert for Halloween
  • Lose if you dare, or so it says
  • The trailer shows off a dwindling group of friends and a cursed game of Clash Royale

With Halloween right around the corner, countries across the world are seeing the appearance of pumpkins, skulls and other spooky paraphernalia. Whether that's Spirit Halloween or the merciful break from the pre-Christmas run-up, the season is right for Samhain (yes, I know it's not the same thing, bear with me).

And the latest folks to get in on this rather morbid time of year are, who else? Our favourite fiends over at Supercell. In celebration of the season they've released a new trailer showing off Clash Royale, and with the rather backhanded tagline of Lose if you dare.

The trailer itself takes the slightly dubious avenue of seeing a group of friends discussing a supposed curse that causes you to die in real life if you lose in Clash Royale. Naturally, we see events unfold as you'd expect. So if you're playing this season, put your best foot forward I guess?

Samhain, forever!

"Our game will kill you" is definitely something I can see an advertising executive pulling their hair out over, but it is fair to say that the one thing you have to give Supercell is that they do make amusing and (surprisingly) high-quality adverts. No word yet on whether or not this is precipitating some sort of Halloween-themed event, but fingers crossed.
