Happy Halloween, puny humans

Carrion turns the tables on horror platformers with you playing as the monster, out now
  • Consume humans to evolve and survive
  • Destroy your captors with new abilities
  • Let no one leave the facility alive

Just in time for Halloween, DevolverDigital has unleashed a monstrous creature onto mobile today with Carrion, a so-called "reverse horror" platformer where the hunted becomes the hunter. Typical of the genre, you'll normally play as the noble hero ridding the world of unspeakable fiends - this time around, however, you'll step into the amorphous tentacles of the aforementioned fiend, set free to wreak havoc on the humans who were foolish enough to capture you.

In Carrion, you'll consume whoever stands in your way and evolve into something even more horrendous than when you first started on your quest for vengeance. Grow and acquire abilities, hunt your enemies, and solve challenging puzzles to destroy the prison-like facility you're in. You can even phase through lasers, it seems, as you consume humans with your many, many mouths and sharp fangs.

Let the screams of terror reverberating throughout the prison be a warning to humanity - should they dare to cross you, they might just end up in your belly.

In the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Carrion on Google Play and the App Store. It's a "try before you buy" game where you can unlock the full experience with a single in-app purchase. There will be no ads to interrupt your gameplay, and the one-time purchase will include a DLC as well.
