Saber Interactive, the developer behind the increasingly-popular Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, is making an Avatar: The Last Airbender RPG - as revealed by IGN.

The outlet has dropped the news today, with the Space Marine 2 dev working with Paramount Game Studios on bringing this "AAA RPG" to life. There's not much else known about the title so far — aside from it containing a "vibrant world" — but here's what Paramount has to say about upping the ante when it comes to games based on the legendary anime series:

"We know loyal fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender have been eager for more stories that bring them into the universe of the show, and through gaming, we’re able to expand the world-building and allow fans to experience the new content in a completely immersive way,

Saber Interactive has a proven track record in bringing IP-based games to life, and we are excited to co-fund this AAA title alongside them and let fans experience this world first-hand."

There seems to be a distinct focus on the term 'triple-a' here, with Avatar getting plenty of video game adaptations in the past that maybe haven't quite reached that threshold. We're interested in seeing how this one develops, especially after the brilliance that Saber has packed into Space Marine 2.

As for launch platforms on this one, again, information is thin on the ground at the moment but we can't see why this Avatar title won't appear on Xbox. Saber has a history of developing across all major platforms, so when it's good and ready, we're expecting this AAA RPG to land on Xbox Series X and S in the future.
