A couple more tweaks to Anime Vanguards UPD 0.5 landed yesterday.

Anime Vanguards 0.5 patch notes

Anime Vanguards 0.5 patch notes landed on September 22, 2024. Additional patch notes and balance updates have continued to drop in the week that followed:

Anime Vanguards 0.5 Day 3 patch notes

  • Fixed Igros’ health bar.
  • Igros (Elite Knight)
    • Increased DMG gained on Passive 2 by 10%:
    • Increased length of the buff on passive 3 and also increased DMG by 10%

Anime Vanguards 0.5 Day 2 patch notes

  • Regen Modifier base percentage has been decreased to 0.2% and it now stacks (0.2 multiplied by how many Regen cards you chose)
  • Raids’ difficulty has been changed to Nightmare. It was always intended to be Nightmare, however due to a bug this wasn’t the case.
  • Upgrading/placing a unit while not being able to afford it now tells you the additional yen needed.
  • Modifier cards have been removed from the top-right, as you can see them in the stage info UI.
  • Fixed an issue where the right side stage info would display the stage and act name wrongly.
  • Fixed an issue where you wouldn’t be able to unlock any enemy from Raids game mode in the enemy index.
  • Fixed a visual issue where hovering over placed units would show their upgrade number offset by one.
  • Fixed a visual issue where trophies and other currencies would appear as zero on some interfaces.
  • Fixed a visual issue where gems and coins would cut off if it’s displayed as thousands.
  • Fixed a visual issue with item tooltips where the frame’s Y size would be a lot longer compared to the tooltip contents.
  • Fixed a visual issue where Compass Needle description would display 30% DMG and RNG boost instead of 33%.
  • Fixed a visual issue where you could move before the Igros cutscene loaded in, causing your character to not appear in the cutscene.
  • profile screen units are not placed correctly when using them as your avatar/pfp.
  • Fixed a visual issue where unit name colors above their head in lobby werent correct.
  • Fixed an issue with enemies not unlocking for the Spider Forest enemy index.
  • Fixed a spot in the Blood-Red Chamber where you could move your camera under.
  • if using cleanse ability right before the snare VFX is applied, the snare would visually stay permanently even though the unit could attack.
  • if Sosuke, Vogita, Cha-In, Roku (Dark), Kinaru, Ichiga, Sanjo, Igros, Kokashi, Genitsu, or Goi got stunned or snared while moving towards a target, they could get stuck on the track until next attack.
  • Deadeye now properly applies its critical damage multiplier buff.
  • Fixed critical damage indicators sometimes displaying as criticals when they weren’t, and sometimes the other way around.
  • Fixed an issue where passives would be applied twice.
  • Double Dungeon Legend Stage health was buffed.
  • Fixed regen mutator regenerating negative hp.
  • Lowered the opaqueness of the circle outline.
  • Changed Blood-Red Commander, Igros’ health bar being too big & taking up too much space on your screen
  • Added better preloading to the Blood-Red Chamber cutscene to fix most issues with the cutscene playing too early.
  • Fixed Igros’ health bar being offset from the center.
  • Fixed gem & coin displays cutting off in lobby.
  • Fixed farm display icons sometimes staying after selling your farm units.
  • Fixed unit view displays in profile UI.
  • Renguko (Purgatory)- Increased AoE Size on final Attack | Reduced price of upgrade 11 and 12

Anime Vanguards 0.5 Day 1 patch notes

  • Fixed Itochi not dealing damage
  • Fixed Igros sometimes spawning after ending in the next match if you pressed retry before he walked onto the track
  • Disabled volumetric fog on all maps due to performance degradation
  • Fixed issues with enemy models being in a different place from their actual hitboxes after being pushed away by Agony
  • Top 12 spots now have a border around their place, rather than just top 5
  • Fixed leaderboard positioning; this change may take a while to occur, as it does not update existing positions
  • Fixed burn stacking; it now has infinite stacks, allowing multiple units to apply burns onto enemies.
  • Added better preloading to the Igros Boss Event cutscene; you should see less issues of the cutscene not being fully loaded in when starting
  • Hopefully fixed wave skip sometimes not appearing. This bug is random and happens rarely, so we’re still on the lookout on fixing this!
  • Infinite rewards have also been fixed!
  • Raised lighting on Raid map, should be more visible now
  • Fixed Sosuke’s passive

Anime Vanguards 0.5 Day 0 patch notes

  • New Raid Gamemode
    • Fight in the Spider Forest for the chance to unlock Rengoku and earn Red Webs to spend in a new raid shop.

    • Exchange Red Webs from the Raid battle for evolution items, trait rerolls, and more

    • Face off against Blood-Red Commander with no traits.

    • Spend Commander Tokens earned through the Boss event to purchase rerolls, emotes, and more.

    • Allows you to toggle the automatic use of unit abilities.
  • Unit Manager UI Revamp
    • Now includes Upgrade and Sell buttons and improved upgrade animations
  • Trophy Shop
    • Purchase profile customizations via trophies earned in Boss Events.
  • New Emotes
    • California Gurls and Blood-Red Commander
  • New Profile options
    • Set any owned unit as a profile avatar and customize it with banners and backgrounds.
    • View and display leaderboard positions.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Units can no longer deal damage to shielded enemies.
    • Upgrade UI should now properly display multipliers on passives.
    • Sosuke Storm’s stun has been increased from 1 second to 2 seconds.
    • Skills with global cooldowns should now be visible to other players.
    • New ability icons for Alocard and Song Jinwu.
    • Igros (Elite Knight)’s stat and passive changes are now correctly displayed.
    • Obita (Awakened) now gains his final attack through a different upgrade and his stats are no longer incorrect.

When is the next Anime Vanguards update?

The next Anime Vanguards update is expected to be UPD 1. No date has been set, and we don’t know which anime or manga series it’s set to feature.

UPD 0.5 launched around two weeks after the game’s release at around 06:30PM PDT. At the earliest, we expect UPD 1 to launch on Sunday, October 6 at around the same time.
