A release date for Alan Wake 2’s second expansion has seemingly leaked.
The Lake House DLC will launch on October 22 alongside the physical edition of the game, according to Australian retailer EB Games.
“Please note due to the global release of Alan Wake 2: Deluxe Edition, the in disc DLC for the Lake House Expansion will not unlock until midnight on 22nd Oct 2024,” reads a product listing on its website.
It’s possible that the release date will officially be confirmed on Thursday, when Alan Wake 2 is set to feature at the latest Xbox Partner Preview livestream.
The DLC appears to feature references and locations from another Remedy franchise, Control.
“Dive into a harrowing survival horror experience with the latest expansion for Alan Wake 2, set in an eerie new location on the shores of Cauldron Lake,” reads an official description for the expansion.
“Within the Federal Bureau of Control’s research station, the Lake House, a catastrophic event has occurred, where reckless experiments have caused reality to collide with the Dark Place.”
This DLC unfolds parallel to the main game, putting you in the shoes of FBC agent Kiran Estevez, portrayed by Janina Gavankar
The Lake House will be available with the Alan Wake 2 Expansion Pass, which is included in both the digital Deluxe Edition and the upcoming physical Deluxe and Collector’s editions of the game.
Players who own the Standard Edition of Alan Wake 2 will need to upgrade to the Deluxe Edition to access the DLC.
Alan Wake 2 was VGC’s game of the year for 2023. Its first expansion, Night Springs, was released in June.
