Anime Vanguards tier list – Best UPD 0.5 units for story, infinite, and raid

The Anime Vanguards tier list has seen quite the shake up from the Slayer units added in UPD 0.5 as well as the few tweaks made to some top-tier picks.

With new Anime Vanguards units set to usurp older ones with each update, it’s important to know which are worth investing in. Rankings will take rarity, power scaling, and other factors into account.  A cheaper unit that performs well with far less investment over a Legendary pull can take the cake.

Will Anime Vanguards UPD 1 include new units?

Although there’s little in the way of official confirmation, in-the-know leakers and influencers have more or less confirmed the existance of three new units set to come to Anime Vanguards in the future: Gojo, Gilgamesh, and Esdeath.

Whether they’re set to drop with UPD 1 or not is still up in the air.

How do I get Igros/Irgris in Anime Vanguards?

Irgris, a top-tier unit that doesn’t feature on any summon banner (before level 10), is a secret unit only obtained as an incredibly rare drop from the last story run of the base game, or from the limited-time Irgris boss event available for 20 days after the launch of UPD 0.5.

Irgris has a 0.75% chance to drop from Double Dungeon Act 3 – Double Dungeon Disaster stage. Outside of Gamepasses, there’s no way to increase your chance of the Irgris drop.

The best you can hope is to find a solid strategy with your units and macro the run until you strike it lucky. But, as is the nature with these things, you could technically win an Irgris drop from your very first clear.

If you need help with it, just remember to pack at least one top-tier Support unit like Sprintwagon. Fill the rest of your team with your finest level 30+ legendries, and you should be good to go.

How do I get Shiny Alucard in Anime Vanguards?

Shiny Alucard is one of the rarest possible unit combinations you can obtain in Anime Vanguards.

Discord users Buff and Manganese calculated the odds of obtaining it through single pulls, with the result being, at best, 0.00012%.

Those figures included the Shiny Hunter game pass. Without it, you’re looking at a 0.00006% grind. It’s not worth thinking about.#

Is Blossom good in Anime Vanguards?

Blossom (or Sakura) is an essential unit for the Demon Slayer-inspired raid added in the 0.5 update. Her ability removes the perma-stun applied to your units in the last act of the content. It’s the only way to remove the stun debuff the boss uses.
