When is the ZZZ 1.4 release date? Now that ZZZ 1.3 is here, it’s time to start looking ahead to future updates. HoYoverse has already begun drip marketing new characters and teasing how the story might continue following the previous update. If you’re already saving up your Polychrome, we’ve got a full itinerary of everything coming to HoYoverse’s urban fantasy in the next update.
ZZZ 1.4 is the fourth major update to hit the gacha game following the Zenless Zone Zero release date, and we expect some major developments on the Hollow frontier. While we expect a full rundown of all the upcoming events and content in the Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 livestream, there’s plenty of news to get stuck into, including brand-new characters for our Zenless Zone tier list, banners, and more.
Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 release date
The Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 release date is Wednesday, December 18, 2024. This update is expected to go live at 8pm PT / 11pm ET / 4am GMT / 5am CET / 3pm AEDT.
The servers will go offline for scheduled maintenance for approximately five hours before the update goes live. HoYoverse usually compensates players with free banner currency for every hour the servers are down, so remember to check your mailbox for ZZZ Polychrome once the 1.4 update is live.
HoYoverse’s gacha games run on a six-week rotation, so we expect the 1.4 update to conclude on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 livestream
The Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 livestream is expected to air on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 4:30am PT / 7:30am ET / 12:30pm GMT / 1:30pm CET / 11:30pm AEDT.
This pre-release special program included Zenless Zone Zero codes for players to redeem for a limited time following the broadcast.
Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 banners
ZZZ banners are split into two phases, and we’ve included a list of all the S-Ranks available to pull in version 1.4 below. For a full breakdown of all the A-Rank characters, Bangboo, and W-Engines with increased drop rates, our Zenless Zone Zero banners guide should be your next stop.
The Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 banners include:
- Miyabi (Ice, Anomaly)
- Harumasa (Electric, Attack)
We also expect the signature Zenless Zone Zero W-Engines for these characters to appear on the accompanying weapon banner. Agent Gulliver, Section 6’s Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo, will also debut, making a faction-oriented team with Yanagi, Harumasa, and Miyabi viable.
Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 characters
Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 is set to debut two playable characters from Section 6, the Hollow Special Operations unit attached to H.A.N.D. We expect obvious synergy with fellow Section 6 members Yanagi and Soukaku, plus more scope for the established Anomaly meta.
The Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 characters are:
- Miyabi
- Harumasa
Miyabi
Hoshimi Miyabi is the most anticipated agent to debut thanks to her character design and a brief stint in the first ZZZ beta. She is the youngest Void Hunter on record, and Proxies have already seen her in action during their close encounter with Nineveh earlier in the story. Current leaks suggest she’s a formidable damage dealer, though she relies on other agents in her team to help her trigger disorder and generate stacks to buff her crit damage. This makes her an excellent unit in a Zenless Zone Zero team comp with Yanagi and Caesar.
Harumasa
Asaba Harumasa appears to be the slacker of Section 6, but despite his reputation as a bit of a coward, Miyabi maintains that he’s stronger than he seems. He dashes around the battlefield at lightning speed with his Shadow Slash attack, building his crit rate and damage with each successive hit to marked enemies. This assassination fighting style comes complete with electromagnetic traps that send arrows at targets when triggered. He’ll fit right at home on a team alongside Qingyi and Caesar.
Zenless Zone Zero 1.4 events
Zenless Zone Zero events are limited-time commissions, scenarios, and alternate game modes that allow Proxies to pick up rare and unique rewards. Some events have been announced in name only, so watch out for them as and when they appear in the RPG game.
A leaked image of a Bangboo wearing a red cap branded with golden arches suggests that a McDonald’s collaboration event is coming in version 1.4. However, given that the Bangboo is holding a bucket of fried chicken drumsticks rather than a signature burger, we expect this will be a China-exclusive event.
Now you’re all prepped for the Zenless Zone Zero 1.2 release date, catch up on the Zenless Zone Zero Hollow rework, as well as HoYoverse’s post-launch revenue stats. We’ve also got a handy list of all the upcoming PC games to check out between ZZZ updates.
