The Grim Reaper has long been the forbidden lover in The Sims 4, but that’s changing ahead of the game’s new Life & Death expansion pack. Ahead of the expansion’s release date on Oct. 31, The Sims 4 developer Maxis published a free base game update that adds a bunch of ghostly goodies to the game, the most exciting of which is being able to bone the Grim Reaper.
Yes, you could previously flirt with the Grim Reaper to potentially sway him away from taking away a person, but you couldn’t make love to him without using cheats or mods. What does the Grim Reaper have going on under his robe? That’s for you to find out, I suppose. Apparently, you can also have a baby with the Grim Reaper. Guess he’s a family man!
Beyond getting freaky with the Reaper, The Sims 4’s base game update also adds the ability to make ghosts in Create-A-Sim. Ghosts, in general, are more robust now: They’ve got their own needs and wants, now, and a player can choose whether to have a person become a free roaming ghost or a playable ghost when a Sim dies. You can also WooHoo with ghosts, but that’s always been a thing.
The Sims 4’s Life & Death expansion is set for an Oct. 31 release date. The whole expansion is set around the Grim Reaper — there are two new careers, like the undertaker and becoming a Grimtern, where you train to become the Grim Reaper. It’s all set within a new town called Ravenwood, and brings new death and mortality goals and gameplay, like bucket lists and rebirth.
