It's been over five years since the last Wolfenstein video game and seven years since Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. MachineGames has spent the last few years working on Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, so it's unclear when the next mainline game starring B.J. Blazkowicz will arrive. But if you’re craving a return to the series, you could check out Wolfenstein: The Board Game. It’s currently on sale for its lowest-ever price of $70--and some shoppers are eligible for an additional 15%-off coupon.
Wolfenstein: The Board Game
$70 (was $120)
This is a cooperative board game designed for one to four players. You’ll play as Blazkowicz and other heroes from the series as you explore Castle Wolfenstein and attempt to take down Mecha-Hitler. You can play through a full campaign or check out 10 different story-driven missions, with games typically lasting up to 90 minutes. Best of all, you’ll get 55 miniatures with your purchase to help bring the action to life. Painting the figures is part of the fun of miniatures games, but you don't need to paint them to play of course.
As you work with your team to clear out Castle Wolfenstein, you’ll encounter nine enemy types, a variety of side quests to complete, and 12 different weapons for you to experiment with. All these components add up to a highly replayable experience, and one that both board game and Wolfenstein fans should enjoy.
To see if you’re eligible for the 15% off coupon, click the “Other sellers on Amazon” button, then find the listing sold and shipped directly from Amazon. If you’re lucky, you can clip a coupon that’ll save you a few extra bucks. Even without the coupon, however, this is currently the lowest price we’ve ever seen for the board game, making it a good time to check it out.
To add to your experience, you can snag the prequel Wolfenstein: The Old Blood for $56. It's a standalone experience, so you don't need the original board game, and you can play them in either order.
