Ollie is an upcoming Mythic brawler in Brawl Stars, which has a mix of tanky durability, utility, and some cool crowd control. Ollie is shaping up to be a pretty unique brawler. So, if you are itching to try him out, here’s everything you need to know about Ollie in Brawl Stars.
Release date for Ollie in Brawl Stars
The developers have revealed that Ollie is officially set to enter on January 30th, 2025, through an early bird offer. You can expect it to hit the Starr Road after a week or two.
Abilities of Ollie in Brawl Stars
Now, let’s jump into the abilities of Ollie. In a nutshell, he might not have the highest damage output, but his abilities make him a powerful utility brawler. From what I can see, he can be a great controller. Let’s break down everything you need to know about his abilities:
Trait: Tank
Ollie’s trait is a bit different from the usual when compared to any other brawler. Basically, he charges his Super by taking damage from the enemies. In other words, the more damage he receives from enemy brawlers or spawnables, the faster his Super fills up.
However, it takes about 2.4 times Ollie’s max health in damage to fully charge his Super. Keep in mind that this damage is calculated after shields and other effects are applied. But it is safe to assume that it is hard to charge your Super totally just by taking damage from the enemies.
Attack: Bring the Ruckus
Ollie’s attack, Bring the Ruckus, is a soundwave shot that deals low damage to enemies. It is an attack that travels in a narrow cone and pierces through other brawlers. So you can hit multiple enemies with the same attack.
Super: Hypnotize
Ollie’s Super ability helps him dash forward on his hoverboard and creates a music blast that damages and hypnotizes enemies within a certain radius. The hypnosis lasts for 2.5 seconds, and during that time, enemies move toward Ollie instead of attacking or using their Supers. But there’s a catch: he can’t attack or use his abilities while Ollie is charging up the music blast.
Gadgets
Regulate
Ollie’s Regulate Gadget lets him jump forward three tiles in the direction he’s facing. When he lands, he hypnotizes any nearby enemies for one second. What’s even better is that he is totally immune to damage while being airborne. Obviously, he will take damage if he has taken some damage effects before the jump.
All Eyez on Me
All Eyez on Me makes Ollie’s next attack hypnotize enemies for one second. Once this gadget is activated, Ollie’s attack will not only deal damage but also put enemies into a trance, moving them toward him.
Star Powers
Kick, Push
The Kick, Push Star Power increases Ollie’s movement speed by 20% when he’s near a wall.
Renegade
Renegade Star Power activates after Ollie uses his Super. After dashing forward, he will gain a shield that absorbs up to 4000 damage. During that time, this shield will decay over four seconds, blocking 200 damage every 0.2 seconds.
