The Undying Ronin arrives

Watcher of Realms to introduce limited-time, Samurai-themed hero Kigiri
  • Moonton's next-gen fantasy RPG Watcher of Realms is introducing a new, limited-time hero
  • Kigiri the Undying Ronin will be available in a new summoning event
  • A new mage, Xaris the Soulflayer, also joins the roster

Moonton's fantasy RPG Watcher of Realms is introducing a new hero with the fittingly-themed Kigiri the Undying Ronin as part of their Black Blade Chronicles event. This new samurai hero will only be available for a short period and is joined in the roster by the newly-added mage Zaris the Soulflayer.

Kigiri is a ronin (rogue samurai) who is the only survivor of the castle he previously protected. Desiring revenge on those who destroyed his homeland, you'll experience Kigiri's story in the new Black Blade Chronicles event, which takes place from October 17th to October 21st. You'll get guaranteed draws and rank-up events as part of this limited appearance. Meanwhile, his story event runs into the 27th.

Elsewhere, regular players don't need to miss out either as Xaris the Soulflayer, a devious and cunning mage, will also join the fight. He'll receive his own limited-time summoning event with Lucius and Razaak also receiving rank-ups when he releases on October 18th.

Compared to the slightly campier heroes like Lust (who was re-released for a limited time), Kigiri definitely looks to be something a little more serious. And given how popular samurai-themed characters almost always seem to be, I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be a fan favourite. But for those of you not fussed about jumping into limited-time events the addition of Xaris to the roster will likely be equally comforting.
