SNK’s Evo 2024 announcement for KOF XV confirmed Vice and Mature would join the game as DLC characters, and now the company pinned down the release date. Both of them will be available starting on December 12, 2024. That is also when KOF XV Ultimate Edition will launch, as well as a 2.40 rebalancing patch.
The Vice and Mature DLC characters are being sold as a pair for KOF XV. You can get the two of them together for $9.99. Past voice actors are returning to play both of them. Mature is once again voiced by Yu Shimamura, who has been the character since KOF: World. Mayumi Sako is Vice, and has been since KOF XIV.
As for the KOF XV Ultimate Edition, it will be out on December 12, 2024, and it will cost $59.99. This is how much the standard, base version of the game costs now. For that price, you get the main game, Team Passes 1 and 2, the Fighter Pass, Vice and Mature, the Terry Bogard Garou costume, and the Leona classic costume.
There’s no word on what’s next for KOF XV and The King of Fighters series as a whole. Characters like Duo Lon and Hinako Shijo showed up before Vice and Mature, and they launched in 2023. However, we do know SNK is working on Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Many KOF mainstays will appear in that game, such as Mai Shiranui, the Bogard brothers, and Rock Howard.
The King of Fighters XV is immediately available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the Vice and Mature DLC characters will debut on December 12, 2024.
