Todd Howard, Executive Producer at Bethesda Game Studios, has revealed during an interview with Rolling Stone that he didn’t initially want Troy Baker in the starring role for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Baker, who joined Howard in the interview discussing the casting process, revealed that he met the Bethesda executive during a zoom call, and claimed that Howard told the actor that he didn’t want him to play Indy at first.

“We felt for this project and the time period it was set in, we cast a pretty wide net,” commented Howard. However, Baker was eventually selected for the part after hundreds of people auditioned for the role, and Howard told Baker, “I’ll have you know, we did a blind taste test, and people chose you every time.”
