Hey there, welcome to our latest edition of The Wrapp.
This is a chance for you to see what the various members of the Pocket Gamer team are planning to play over this weekend and will, hopefully, give you an idea of some of the weird and wonderful things we get up to when we’re not keeping you up to speed with the latest news and tips. Heck, you might even find a new game to play.

As expected, I’m still fumbling my way through Hearthstone - no amount of Kerrigan swag can apparently save my poor battling tactics. It’s back to Pokemon TCG Pocket for me this weekend, but I’m also hoping to get my hands on Is This Seat Taken?, which I’d love to feature on our weekly Ahead of the Game segment. Here’s hoping I can access it lest I lose my mind trying to Zergling Rush opponents in the wrong Blizzard game.

I can’t particularly speak much about my weekend mobile plans for fear of bringing the embargo gods down upon my head, but if things go the right way I will be spending my time playing [redacted]. Beyond this, I have been getting the urge to venture back into Eorzea so Final Fantasy XIV might be on the menu, or I could revert to my usual routine of clearing out everything Wuthering Waves has to offer. Probably that one to be fair.

As far as gaming goes this weekend, I am not sure I will have much time between meeting with some good friends I haven’t had a chance to see this year (yet) and some workouts I have planned (going out for a freezing hike in the nature, yay!). I do have my eyes on an upcoming game, Black Beacon, which I think will be quite interesting once it’s out!
I’ll be off early this weekend, so sadly the news on Friday will pass me by. However, I did notice that some folks have been covering major layoffs at Hi-Rez Studios who some of you will recognise as the developers beyond Rogue Company: Elite. Given they were also developing Smite and Paladins, two pretty hefty competitors in multiplayer gaming (which are now set to cease development) before these layoffs I’m not exactly optimistic that Elite will see the light of day now…

Listen, it’s just Pokemon. It’s always Pokemon. This weekend is a community day; both of Karrablast and Shelmet. I am not the biggest fan of double Pokemon community days, but I am happy to get out of the house and explore. The weather has been terrible lately, so we are all hoping for a bit of sunshine on the weekend

So, apparently, I just discovered that Wizadry is responsible for a mobile game that caught my eye for looking kind of like horror. It's been described as "gacha horror" but has one of the weirdest titles ever: Wizadry Variant Daphne. Am I Daphne in the scenario? Is Daphne a variant capable of wizardry, or is she a wizardry variant? Well, I have no choice but to download the game and find out for myself what the deal is, and maybe the title will finally make sense.
Also, my plea to make Castle Crashers a mobile game has me thinking about beat 'em ups on mobile as a whole. We talked about this previously, but now I want to look into that more. Maybe I should see if the Behemoth has released any mobile stuff.

Much like Catherine, I’ll be chasing after rare cards in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket. I also need to get the Skarmory from the Solo Battles and the Chimchar from the Wonder Pick event in order to keep my Promo Packs 100%. I’m currently on 117/155 for the Space-Time Smackdown pack.
Outside of this, I’m going to download and check out Graine, which is an adorable, wistful, juicy platformer that landed in my inbox earlier this week. It’s giving Rayman Origins, and that’s a very, very good sign for me.

I hate to be the fourth person on the team to mention Pokemon, but I shall anyway. The Space-Time Smackdown Emblem Event is currently underway, so I'll be struggling my way through to 45 wins so I can display that beautiful black, grey, and gold prize on my profile. It's proving a bit of a slog, with only 13 wins to my name.
I started out using a deck based around Lucario boosting the attack of other Fighting-Type Pokemon, but I quickly got bored. Now I'm trying to get Darkrai ex and Weezing working for me. The idea is that I chip away at my opponent's Pokemon while keeping my own topped up and protected with Potion and Giant Cape. It's not going well, but Weezing and Darkrai are two of my favourites, so I'll stick with it.

This weekend, I’m thinking of diving back into Path of Exile 2 after I took a break from it. It’s been a while since I last played, and with a couple of new updates released, I’m curious to see how the game has evolved and explore the latest changes.
That said, I’m actually planning to go outside and touch some grass. The weather hasn’t been very good lately, so I haven’t had much of a chance to enjoy the outdoors. With the weekend forecast looking somewhat promising, it feels like it's the right time to do it.
