Hooded Horse’s eclectic strategy games have won over an extremely devoted fan base over time. If you’d like to add yourself to that group, the entire Hooded Horse catalog of games and DLC are on sale at their lowest prices ever on Steam through Oct. 4.

As someone who is a fan of its titles, I recently picked up a couple of these games from this sale, specifically the Keepers of the Stone DLC for roguelike city-builder Against the Storm, and the sadistic, turn-based strategy title Xenonauts 2. Several other awesome games are on sale, too, so we’ve picked out a few additional titles below that we think are worthy of your attention.

$15

A bold title that blends elements of city-building and real-time strategy with roguelite elements, Against the Storm distills the typical marathon of management sims into two-hour sessions.

$28

Manor Lords is a title that’s developed a massive following thanks to its wealth of intricate, interlocking systems that put you in charge of building a medieval city.

$19

Cataclismo is a game that understands the joy of building a castle brick-by-brick to defend against hordes of enemies.

$26

Where the reimagined XCOM: Enemy Unknown from 2012 offered a more accessible take on the original game, XCOM: UFO Defense, Xenonauts 2 pulls no punches in terms of its difficulty and complexity, delivering an homage that’s loyal — almost to a fault.

$15

Mirroring the space battles from The Expanse, Nebulous: Fleet Command is a title that offers a remarkably detailed model of managing a fleet of warships in the vacuum of space.

$20

What if Civ, but just the Bronze Age? Old World is mechanically very similar to Civilization 6, but instead of games spanning the breadth of human history, the scope of Old World focuses on just 1,300 years (give or take).

$26

Developed by the same team responsible for the Long War mod for XCOM: Enemy Unknown, plus XCOM 2, Terra Invicta is a truly massive geopolitical game that puts you in charge of preparing Earth for a potential alien invasion.

$20

Where most city builders are satisfied with letting you place buildings and infrastructure, Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic allows for granular management of every aspect of your communist utopia, from soil fertility to the secret police.
