What are the best Minecraft seeds for 1.21? In essence, seeds are codes that Minecraft uses to generate worlds for you. With the right seed, you can live your every fantasy in this amazing game, like easy-access strongholds for speedrunning, beautiful landscapes for building, or rare structures for looting. Given the infinite nature of Minecraft seeds, we’ve scoured the internet and tested our own to find the coolest and most demanded seeds.
You can leave your world generation completely up to fate, but if you’re unlucky, you could spend hours looking for a Minecraft village, an ancient city, desert temples, or whatever else you want to experience in the sandbox game. So that you don’t waste time exploring a bad seed, we’ve built this comprehensive list of 51 cool Minecraft seeds. Unless otherwise stated, these seeds work for Minecraft Java version 1.21, so make sure your Minecraft launcher is set up for version 1.21 before heading into the game, or you may get different results. You can use these seeds in Bedrock edition thanks to parity, but some structures may differ.
Here are the best Minecraft seeds in October 2024:
Pale Garden seed
Ultimate desert spawn seed: -2332803749585407299
Version: Latest snapshot, experimental features
Important coordinates:
- Village: -496, -368
- Nether portal: -488, -424
- Pale Garden: -824, -333
- Trial Chamber: -505, -249
The Pale Garden is a new biome coming to vanilla Minecraft with the winter drop in early 2025. Thanks to the magic of Minecraft snapshots, however, you can get a taste of what’s to come right now. The upcoming Minecraft update adds not only the creepy new biome, but a new mob with it, and you can experience both in this large Pale Garden biome to the north west of spawn, grabbing some cherry wood on your way through. From what we’ve seen so far, this biome is fairly rare and can be very small, so this is the perfect seed to get a good sense of the atmosphere.
We recommend heading north west to the village first of all to rest up and pick up some resources. There’s also a ruined portal here with a few early resources and an easy way into the Nether later on. Even better, there a Trial Chamber beneath this village as well, waiting for when you’re kitted up and ready to battle.
Head west from the village and you’ll soon find not only the sprawling grey forest but some stunning open caves, with both dripstone and lush caves beneath the pale forest. Almost everything you could possibly want within a few hundred blocks from spawn. To experience the Pale Garden, be sure to load into the latest snapshot and turn on experimental features when creating your new world.
The ultimate desert seed
Ultimate desert spawn seed: 486362209
Version: 1.21
Important coordinates:
- Village 1: 0, 0
- Desert temple 1: -136, 24
- Village 2: -192, 32
- Village 3: -144, -176
- Desert temple 2: 24, -232
- Village 4: 48, -144
We had a couple of seeds on this list for desert villages and pyramids previously, but we’ve replaced them with this single seed, giving you below both, en masse, at spawn – this really is the ultimate desert seed.
Within 300 blocks from spawn, there are four – yes, four – desert villages, and two desert pyramids to boot. To give you an idea of how close everything is, you can see villages 2 and 3, and desert temple 1 in the image above. There are also mineshafts under the surface here, so there’s plenty of great loot to be found within just a few chunks of launching the world. Desert pyramids are a great way to get started with Minecraft archeology, as well, so make sure you craft a Minecraft brush as soon as you can.
Cliffside village
Cliffside village seed: 6391130274229160289
Version: 1.21
Important coordinates:
- Spawn village: 112, -144
- Cliffside village: 5404, 64
- Pillager outpost: 5330, -215
This may not look all that spectacular, but it’s all about the vision – especially if you’re into terraforming the land. Look at this seed, found by mariiecx on reddit. Now imagine that cliffside being sculpted into a ragged, stony, zig-zagged staircase. Maybe add a small sandy beach? Then rework the buildings. We’d also make that midway village meeting area the focal point of your new village home. Right, enough imagining, we’re off to craft a shovel and get digging.
Badlands lake
Badlands lake seed: 7598363429859286340
Version: 1.21
Important coordinates:
- Badlands lake: 0, 72
- Jungle chests: 20, 69
- Ruined portal: -6, 212
- Exposed lush cave: -96, 236
Sure, there are plenty of stunning icy views and expansive cherry groves you can go after for a beautiful base location, but we’re not sure we’ve seen a cooler place for building in Minecraft than this Badlands lake shared by Scared_Fruit_8452 on reddit. The flat land around the lake, on a background of steep terracotta cliffs, makes for the perfect building canvas, while the aesthetic of the location itself is entirely different from anything we’ve seen before.
The only thing that would make this better would be if the Lake was entirely surrounded by red sand, but we’re not sure that’s even possible. Luckily, the jungle biome on the other side is made interesting itself with an exposed mineshaft encroaching on the green biome, with not one but two chests right there in the open. And this is all at spawn.
Cherry lake seed
Cherry lake seed: 69420018030897796
Version: 1.21
Important coordinates:
- Village: 64, 48
Stofix on YouTube found a great seed for Cherry Grove lovers, as this huge lake village is located just below a large cherry blossom biome. Even better is that YourLocalKnight on reddit has found the Bedrock equivalent, too, so you can enjoy a cherry grove lake village seed on whichever platform you play. The Java seed is listed above, while the Bedrock seed is -2032795982907864146. Both stunning locations are at spawn.
Village in hell
Village in hell seed: 712252439217434
Version: 1.19.2
Important coordinates:
- Village: -960, -480
While looking for the above seed, we also came across another incredible discovery by Stofix. This remarkable find features a village in the bottom of a large cave, at y-level -52, which is incredible rare – and is a great place to build a dangerous but serious cool (or hot) base. Unfortunately, this was fixed after 1.19.2, and the village instead spawns floating in the ocean (which is still pretty cool), so you must run this in 1.19.2 to see what we’ve shown in the image above.
Pillager and villager spawn
Pillager and villager seed: 8110137054462309706
Version: 1.21
Important coordinates:
- Village: 225, 0
- Pillager outpost: 215, 261
- Ruined portal: 347, 242
- Second village: 523, 266
- Cherry grove: 202, -382
- Bamboo jungle: 524, -299
If you want a challenge as soon as you spawn in, this seed is a good way to test your mettle. Head east from spawn to find a handy savanna village to get started and find some loot before turning your attention south where you can find a pillager outpost and ruined portal. Those pillagers will be on you almost as soon as you spawn in.
What makes this seed even better is that you can get to know the recent armadillo mob addition in the spawn savanna biome and there are some incredibly interesting cave entrances all around this dangerous area. There’s also loads of surface ore nearby and plenty of passive mob spawns to keep you fed.
Ancient Stronghold
Ancient Stronghold seed: 2814259876962170059
Version: 1.21
Important coordinates:
- Stronghold portal room: 62, -45, 1,857
- Village near spawn: -176, 160
- Another Ancient City: 88, -51, 808
- Cherry grove: 70, 1,094
We have another seed a little further down in which a Stronghold intersects with an Ancient City, but this one is like the hardcore version. This Stronghold portal room has generated right in the middle of an Ancient City structure, so if you want to get to the End, you’re going to have to contend with the terrifying threat of The Warden first.
If you want to play this world in a normal, vanilla, survival style, we recommend heading South from spawn and playing as normal that way for a while, as that will just get you a bit closer to this final destination. For a few more hints, there are some important coordinates above. Thanks to KoPlrLol on reddit for finding this one.
Easy Trial Chamber survival seed
Easy trial chamber survival seed: -7417157268905316998
Version: 1.21
Important coordinates:
- Village: 315, 343
- Ruined portal: 297, 340
- Trial Chamber 294, 2, 290
- Ocean ruins: 435, 661
We love an easy Minecraft survival seed. That’s why we love this seed. A village is always the perfect place to find early on so that you can set a spawn point, sleep through the night, and hide from terrifying mobs. This plains village is just a short walk southeast from spawn.
That’s not that unusual, though. What we also love about this seed is the village’s close proximity to some important structures and the variety of biomes around you. Firstly, there is a ruined portal in the village, so you have easy and safe access to the Nether. If the worst happens, you know you won’t spawn too far from your home and portal. Next, there are some shallow warm ocean ruins just off the coast to the south. Here, with a brush, you can dust away some suspicious sand and find some valuable loot. Then, there’s a beach, badlands, jungle, savanna, and more biomes surrounding you, so there’s plenty of variety in the blocks and items you can find. As one last thought, we personally love that ravine in the village too, perfect for building a unique ravine base.
Frozen river Taiga village
Frozen river taiga village seed: 9009245503860775875
Version: 1.21
Important Coordinates:
- Taiga village: 0, -368
- Swamp biome: 136, 20
- Underground ruined portal (buildable): 85, 16, -264
We love a snowy taiga village here at PCGamesN, it’s our favorite place to set up an early game home in Minecraft, but they’re not always that easy to find, and we often find ourselves settling for a savanna or plains village. Well, this seed changes that. This cute, large snowy taiga village is nestled in a normal taiga biome, but gathers a light dusting of snow thanks to being perched on a frozen river. It might not be the safest place to build houses, but it looks gorgeous and allows for a bit of ice skating in your free time, too.
Desert temple in lava
Desert Temple in lava seed: 2482490754905255652
Version: 1.18+
Important coordinates:
- Desert Temple in lava: 21, -46, 16
- Nearest village: 281, -281
- Trial Chamber: 176, -512
OK, this one’s just straight-up weird, but we’re pretty sure the most creative among you can think of something cool to do with this one because, yep, that’s a desert temple floating in lava in a lush cave. What’s more, this abomination is directly beneath you at spawn. And you don’t have to mine – it’s at the bottom of a ravine. Pretty cool stuff.
Thanks to DylanDC14 on YouTube for finding this one. They found it back in 2022, but we’ve checked it in Java edition in 1.21 and can confirm it’s still as awesome. There are lush caves for miles around, mineshafts and amethyst geodes aplenty, and the nearest Trial Chamber is only 300 blocks away. You have to go a little further to your closest village, but it’s still not too bad.
Ancient Trial Stronghold
Ancient City, Trial Chamber, Stronghold seed: 1669984371247603308
Version: 1.21
Important Coordinates:
- Ancient City: 8,920, -51, 6,648
- Trial Chamber: 8,951, 6,631
- Stronghold: 8,676, 6,756
This amazing 1.21 seed puts the three most rare and valuable overworld structures together in one place: an Ancient City, a Trial Chamber, and even a Stronghold. As you can see in the image above, the Ancient City and Trial Chamber are neighbors. What you can’t see is the Stronghold just 300 blocks behind you to the northwest. Once you’ve kitted yourself out in your best armor and are ready to face the Ender Dragon, you can kill two birds with one stone – or explore three structures in one adventure.
Trial Chamber seed
Trial Chamber seed: 393235010621814182
Version: 1.21
Important coordinates:
- Village: 176, 64
- Trial Chamber: 16, 160
For your first days in the Minecraft 1.21 update, this seed has a great spawn location, with a nearby village and trial chamber. There’s almost no better way in Minecraft 1.21 to loot valuable materials early on, but what’s better is you can access this underground chamber with next to no tools. Head to the village at x = 176, z = 64 to stock up on wood and other materials safely before heading to the massive cave entrance to the southwest. Use the waterfalls here to safely descend into the cave, and you can see a brick wall at the bottom – this is the Trial Chamber. Use a pickaxe to break through the wall and take on the new challenge.
Of course, since you are entering a cave (and dangerous trial chamber) we would recommend taking some tools and weapons with you, but there’s so much loot to be had inside the Trial Chamber walls that you won’t need much. Just be on the lookout for mob spawners and that new Minecraft Breeze.
Armor trims seed
Armor trims seed: -3700836276160199646
Important coordinates:
- Outpost: -192, 80
- Ruined portal: -328, 120
- Village: -496, 176
- Nether fortress: 27, 27
- Bastion treasure room: 288, -160
Minecraft armor trims arrived with the Minecraft 1.20 update, and allow you to flex an armor fit as you battle monsters and mine precious ores. Getting these armor trims though, or the smithing templates used to forge your armor, is no easy task – most are looted from well-protected chests in dangerous locations.
If you don’t want to stray too far from your base, or even spawn, for some of the most hard-to-find smithing templates, then this seed makes things easy, and has a lot more to offer, too. Just a short walk to the southwest, you find an Outpost on an island – the significance of the island being that it makes this outpost much safer to be near, as pillagers struggle to cross water. Here, you can pick up two Sentry smithing templates, and rescue some Minecraft allays.
Visible from here is a completable ruined Nether portal – it just needs one block and that can be found in the nearby chest. And, from here, you can see a village. This is almost everything you need to get set up for your first night, and ready for a trip to the Nether, where you can find a Nether Fortress just 20 blocks to your east. Here, you can find the Rib smithing template. Finally, if you need any more convincing, there’s a Bastion treasure room to the northeast, where you can find the Snout and Netherite Upgrade smithing templates. What a seed.
Thanks to shady_bookworm on reddit for finding this one.
Beautiful broken cove seed
Broken cove seed: 11297487
Important coordinates:
- Cove: 83, 23
- Ruined portal: 68, 138
- Village: 224, 576
In perhaps the most beautiful landscape we’ve seen in Minecraft in our ten-plus years of playing, this majestic broken cove features floating pieces of land, multiple waterfalls, and even a ruined portal floating in the center of the water below. This location gives us so many ideas for stunning builds we don’t know where to start – but the first step is loading our next new world here. What makes this even better is that you don’t have to go far to find it, as this cove is situated right at spawn, and we have sevenhundredmiles on reddit to thank for finding this treasure.
Swamp village seed
Swamp village seed: -2295595817529477063
Important coordinates:
- Swamp village: 704, 672
This is a good one. In case you’re unaware, swamp and jungle villages don’t spawn naturally in Minecraft, but they do have unique villager trades. This might seem unfair, but these villagers can be forced to spawn as long as they are ‘born’ in these biomes, for example via a villager farm. This usually means you either have to be lucky enough to find your ‘parent’ villagers close to one of these biomes, or transport them via Nether portal, boat, minecart, or a combination of all three. Boring.
In this rare seed, however, a normal taiga village just happens to generate at the edge of the biome, overlapping with a swamp. Not only does this make it easy to create a villager farm in the swamp, but it also means swamp villagers, with a unique look, may even spawn naturally, making this a very handy seed. Thanks to Nt0splat on reddit for finding it.
Skull island seed
Skull island seed: 1040934860
Important coordinates:
- Village: -160, -144
This incredibly cool find was discovered by DPS3 on reddit, and features a large island that looks like a skull – even with a cute little opening for a nose. What makes this even better is that the skull island houses a gorgeous Minecraft lush cave, which looks beautiful and is home to some rare loot.
Still not enough to sell it to you? Well, how about the fact that you spawn directly on top of this cool seed – into a massive desert village. Of, and there’s a mineshaft below ground. You can get pretty much everything you need for an easy start to your survival adventure right here on skull island.
Easy Nether seed
Nether seed – 4517475607999363428
Important coordinates:
- Fortress: 13, 27
- Bastion: 25, -119
OK, don’t take us too seriously when we say “easy”, nothing in the Nether is ever easy, but this seed certainly sets you up for success. When launching into this world, found by PainterAccording on reddit, you spawn on a small island, which itself is home to some vital resources like coal, iron, and gravel. Place a Nether Portal on this island, and you’ll find yourself right inside (or close to) a Nether Fortress. That’s not all, as there’s also a Bastion Remnant located just 100 blocks to the North. Just make sure you’re kitted out with gold, armor, and other essentials before you try and venture into the underworld.
Shipwreck survival seed
Shipwreck seed: -8065848147699287859
Important coordinates:
- Spawn: 64, -544
While finding shipwrecks is one of the best ways of gathering valuable resources early on, there’s still a significant challenge involved in being stranded on a shipwreck in a completely open ocean – and that’s exactly what this seed offers. Thanks to Jmims1983 on Reddit for finding this challenging survival Minecraft seed on 1.20, in which you really do spawn on a shipwreck mast, with no land in sight.
Carefully go underwater to loot the shipwreck’s chests for all you can get – which does, thankfully, include some iron – grab some of its wood to make a boat, and see how far you can make it.
Trail Ruins at spawn
Spawn Trail Ruins Seed: -78281593317120339
Important coordinates:
- Trail Ruins: -152, 72
- Village: -272, 272
Trail Ruins are all that is left of ancient Minecraft civilizations and villages from a time long since forgotten. Added in the 1.20 Trails and Tales update, these oft-buried structures are home to plenty of valuable loot and even Minecraft archaeology, given you the chance to scrape away at suspicious blocks to reveal the secrets hidden within. Perhaps the most fun part is just excavating the area itself though, and finding out just how large the village was – perhaps you could even take on the task of reforming it?
This Trail Ruin seed is perfect for any budding archaeologists, as the ruins seen above are just a few blocks from spawn, and the top-most bright terracotta blocks can be seen with no digging required. What’s even better, though, is the nearby village at x = -272, z = 272, giving you somewhere to call home while you work, and to safely store all the artifacts you uncover. There’s even a Mineshaft underground here too, if you’re brave enough to face the dangers in exchange for even more valuable loot.
Savanna village seed
Savanna village seed: -2078000429
Important coordinates:
- Village: 80, 50
If the Savanna is your favorite biome, then look no further than this great village seed, which spawns you right next to a large savanna village, floating in a river valley between grand savanna cliffs. This is a great survival seed, not just because of the materials you can gather in the village, but also thanks to the surrounding cave entrances, making it easy to gather resources and make it safely back home to your villager friends.
Minecraft seed for building
Minecraft seed for building: -3899835130120818196
Important coordinates:
- Village: -144, -144
For a seed that offers building locations and survivability right at spawn, we’ve got you covered. This perfect seed spawns you right near a plains village, where you can pick up plenty of materials to get you started. However, the real draw of this seed in the large surrounding plains, which offer perfect plateaus for building on. This plains biome is surrounded by tiny cherry grove, forest, and even jungle biomes, as well, so you can gather most of the wood types without straying too far from your home base.
Eight Ancient Cities seed
Eight Ancient Cities seed: -3227758055243832981
Important coordinates:
- 1: x = -2,520, y = -616
- 2: x = -1,848, y = -600
- 3: x = -2,088, y = -184
- 4: x = -2,264, y = 104
- 5: x = -2,440, y = 40
- 6: x = -1,864, y = 408
- 7: x = -2,296, y = -488
- 8: x = -2,440, y = 424
No, we’re not joking. We were actually hunting for a Trail Ruin seed when we came across this incredible find. We’re not sure why you’d want to put yourself through the incredible pain of looting even one Ancient City (we might have been killed by The Warden one too many times), but this is the Minecraft community – there’s bound to be someone who wants to visit eight adjacent cities.
We found this seed using Chunk Base, and, as you can see from the image above, there are eight Ancient Cities all within a thousand-block square. Given how large Ancient Cities themselves are, trust us when we say there’s not much distance between them. In fact, we went and had a look in spectator mode, and that block of four in the bottom left are all practically on top of each other. Traveling between those far north cities at least gives you a bit of breathing space from The Wardens.
If this seems like a bit too much for you, there is a seed further down with just two combined Ancient Cities, but there was no way we weren’t adding this to the list of the best Minecraft seeds right now.
Mega Ancient City
Mega Ancient City seed: 111111111111111111 (that’s 18 ones!)
Important coordinates:
- Village: 0, -464
- Mineshaft: -203, -26, -653
- First Ancient City: -210, -52, -700
We’re calling this the ‘Mega Ancient City’, but do let it be known that there is some space between some of them, so you might think it a little misleading. That said, there’s still no denying that 26 Ancient Cities within 5,000 blocks is spectacular, especially considering how big each individual structure is. For context, it only takes about three-to-four minutes to walk 1,000 blocks, so this gives you a pretty incredible underground adventure in an afternoon of gaming and looting.
What makes this seed, found on reddit, even better is that these underground structures start quite close to spawn, and there’s a picturesque snowy village on your way to the first. Stop here, make yourself at home, and prepare for your adventure, then head underground towards -210, -700 to start your ancient city exploration. Head west, and the majority of the cities are on a straight line.
Speedrun seed
Speedrun seed: 7499203634667178692
Important coordinates:
- Stronghold: 38, -485
If you want to test your mettle as a speedrunner, this is the random seed used by current record holder Zylenox, who we’ve also listed as one of our favorite Minecraft YouTubers for their speedrun record. It might not appear the best with those Stronghold co-ords above, but we’d highly recommend taking a look at Zylenoz’s speedrun raw recording to see how it’s done by the very best and give it a practice in the seed itself. Warning, it is not easy.
Ancient City Cherry Grove seed
Ancient City Cherry Grove seed: 2419912010728942704
Important coordinates:
- Ancient cities: 94 , -36, 265
- Cherry Grove: 65, -31
This is a pretty incredible find if we may say so ourselves. Finding one Minecraft Ancient City in survival mode is hard enough, finding two right next door to one another is something else. And these two are almost directly below spawn? And a massive cherry grove biome? Yes and yes.
When you’re dropped at spawn at x = 16, z = -16, you are immediately greeted by the sight of a Cherry Grove biome to your south and east, surrounding some snowy slopes. Head underground to the southeast of spawn to find a gigantic Ancient City at x = 96, z = 73. Follow this underground structure directly South until you reach a lava fall to find the start of another Ancient City. Just watch out for those Wardens. The coordinates we’ve listed above drop you right in between the two cities.
Scenic Minecraft seed for 1.20
Pretty icy 1.20 seed: 7050622155736149866
Important coordinates:
- Vantage point: 93, 2,655
- Cherry Grove: -694, 2,846
This seed was originally found by Redditor Hanazeri in 1.19, and the magnificent icy landscape in the image above still stands in the 1.20 update. What makes this even better after Tales and Trails though is the addition of a Cherry Grove biome right next to one of the icy mountains. The vantage point above can be found at coordinates x=93, z=2,655, while the snowy mountain and cherry blossom combo can be found a *cough* short *cough* walk along the x-axis to x=-694, z=2,846.
There’s no prettier color combo than pink and white, right? So grab a few saplings and pink petals from the Cherry Grove, head back to the gorgeous building plot above, and turn that circular meadow into a snowy pink wonderland.
Cherry Grove seed
Perfect Cherry Blossom ring seed: 1691256543523180978
Important coordinates:
- Village: 11,980, 1,400
If you love the seed above but want something a bit less… chilly, then this perfect pink paradise might just the place to build your next home – and it might be one of the most incredible finds we’ve ever seen in Minecraft. We have Redditor Shoowa to thank for this one, which on the surface is a stunning ring of cherry blossoms, surrounding a pretty lake, and itself surrounded by a circular river. Just that alone is enough to make this an incredible find – just imagine a cute cherry blossom village with that lake as the focal point – but there’s even more to this location that you first see, with a village nearby, some phenomenal caves, and even a mineshaft underneath the mountain range.
Minecraft basement igloo at spawn seed
Igloo spawn seed: 8014621782944328921
Important coordinates:
- Igloo: 168, -136
- Shipwreck: 5, 126
If you’re someone who worries about having somewhere to rest your head on your first Minecraft night – and you like to find rare structures – then look no further than this Minecraft seed with an igloo at spawn. And when we say spawn, we mean spawn – simply turn around and this igloo, complete with basement, is all of two blocks in front of you.
With a bed, a chest, some food, and even a villager to trade with (once you’ve got Emeralds, of course), you’re off to a good start with this seed before you’ve really even started. From here, we recommend heading southwest, either underground or above ground, but you’ll find a mineshaft ripe for looting if you travel underground. Then, at x = 5, z = 126, there’s a Shipwreck just under the water’s surface, full of other valuable gear, including a treasure map and armor-smithing templates.
Trails and Tales seed
Cherry Grove and archeology seed: -4701114812458603382
Important coordinates:
- Cherry Grove: 1,500, -170
- Desert Temple: 1,688, 1,112
- Desert Temple 2: 2,071, 1,112
We’re going to keep digging for the very best seed for the Minecraft Trails and Tales 1.20 update, but this is by far the best we’ve seen to date. Not too far from spawn in an easterly direction, you’ll find a large desert biome (x=1,400, z=700), which is home to two desert temples for archeology, plus, there’s a desert village nearby for taming your very own camel. That’s not all, as there is a relatively large Cherry Grove biome to the north of the desert, where you can build a pretty Minecraft house, or just gather some Sakura saplings.
Double Ancient city seed
Double Ancient city seed: -4289043014354930070
Important coordinates:
Ancient Cities: 2,103, -5,856
If you’re struggling to find an Ancient City in survival mode, we’re not surprised – they’re difficult to find. You could use our guide to help you locate one in your adventures, or you could use this seed, found by Redditpeoplebelike and shared on Reddit, and head to the coordinates x=2,103, z=-5,856. It’s a fair hike, but it’s worth it – once you get there, you’ll find not one but two ancient cities smushed together, below an exposed, hanging mineshaft system. That’s a lot of rare loot… provided you can evade the terrifying Minecraft Warden within.
Ancient city near spawn
Ancient City near spawn seed: -3675652194237789176
Important coordinates:
- Cave entrance: 65, 70
- Ancient City: 168, 24
If the previous ancient city seed requires a little more walking than you’re willing to do, this one can be found right beneath your feet thanks to Redditor u/Few_Trainer_180. Starting from the spawn point, walk a bit further east (x=65, z=70) to find the entrance to an enormous cave system. Descend towards the east, then take the tunnel underneath the lava stream towards the west. There’s an opening in the ground (x=120, y=-25, z=129) through which you can see the Ancient City. While these underground ruins should keep you busy for a while, this Ancient City seed features more than a dozen other Ancient Cities relatively close to the spawn point. For example, the second-easiest one is underneath a cave opening on the snowy mountains in the north (x=90, y=150, z=-280).

Like the other, this seed has four within close range of your spawn point. These villages are home to cute Minecraft camels, perfect for traveling across the vast desert, and the badlands landscape to the North. There are also three nearby desert temples for archeology exploration and valuable loot, and multiple ruined portals. If the desert and badlands are your favorite Minecraft biomes, this seed is for you.
Easy Diamonds seed
Diamonds seed: 3057310577815726585
Important coordinates:
- Diamond vein: 90, -31, -250
Digging for diamonds can be a frustrating task, but not if you know the exact location of a 21-piece diamond vein, as spotted by Redditor u/PurelyPog. Although it’s technically a diamond vein of 18 blocks plus a second one of three blocks, either way you look at it; it’s massive. To find it, start by walking towards the northeast, where you’ll find a Plains village. Stand on block x=90, z=-250, then dig straight down until you enter a cave at y=-24. Watch out for the monsters! Once you get rid of them, dig a bit further down (y=-31) to find the 18-piece diamond vein. The second one is a few blocks lower. As a bonus, you’ll find plenty of other ore types in this cave area.
To make this find even better, get to a village first and trade your way to a pickaxe imbued with a Fortune enchantment to get up to four times as many diamonds from your haul.

Right near spawn, it even opens into a lush cave, lighting the path ahead with glow berries. Think of all those glorious Mineshaft chests filled with precious loot… Thanks to u/Cynix747 for sharing this incredible find on Reddit. Our only advice: try not to get lost.

What is a Minecraft seed?
If you’re new to Minecraft or just new to specific seeds, you might be wondering what we’re even talking about. As we briefly touched upon in the intro, Minecraft worlds are procedurally generated – each one is completely random across millions of blocks, thousands of diamonds, and hundreds of structures. However, when a new world is generated, it is given its own unique number – a seed. This number can then be entered into the game creation screen to recreate the exact same world generation again and again, so you and your friends alike can play the same world.
How to load into a specific Minecraft seed
Most of these seeds can be entered into both Java and Bedrock editions and, thanks to seed parity, provides almost the same results – as long as you’re playing in at least version 1.18.
How to enter a seed in Minecraft Java Edition:
- Select Single Player from the main menu
- Click Create New World
- Name your world and choose your game mode and difficulty
- Select More World Options
- Enter seed
- Select any other required options like resource packs
- Click Create New World
How to enter a seed in Bedrock Edition:
- Click Create New
- Then select Create New World
- Head to the Advanced options menu

Enjoy this selection of the best Minecraft seeds, and get out for some brand-new Minecraft adventures. With an infinite number of worlds available, we’re sure there are some even more spectacular ones just waiting to be discovered, and we’ll update this list when they are. Meanwhile, there’s plenty to keep you busy exploring, but with something new to find around every corner, equip one of our favorite Minecraft skins, and perhaps even load up one of the best Minecraft Shaders to see one of the best PC games ever made in a whole new light.
