Talking Point: Xbox Series X|S Owners, How's Your Storage Looking In 2025?

Every year here at Pure Xbox, we poll the community about how well you've been managing your Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S storage, and so we're doing the same again for 2025 - in a year where games are getting bigger than ever!

Looking back over the past couple of years, it comes as no surprise that free space appears to have been getting harder to come by. In 2023, for example, 40% of Pure Xbox voters told us that their Xbox Series X no longer had any free space on the internal drive, and the same went for 51% of Series S owners. Those figures increased to 45% and 58% in 2024, indicating that as time has gone on, it's gotten harder to manage our Xbox storage.

The 2024 version of the article was produced in March last year, and as the months rolled on, we started to see some massive games landing on Xbox. In fact, if you think about just the end of last year, the likes of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Stalker 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 were enough to cause a lot of problems for storage space!
