Starfield Zealous Overreach quest guide: Zealot base location and what to do with Sahima and the hostages

2 weeks ago 91

Upon your decision to aid House Ka’Dic, Razma will task you with the crucial quest of locating Sahima and the other hostages. The location of the captives is shrouded in secrecy, leaving you with the responsibility to unveil it.

There are also a few impactful decisions you need to make here that can either work for or against you. So, if you need some help with this objective, we’ll help you complete the Zealous Overreach quest in the Starfield Shattered Space DLC.

How to find Zealot base in Starfield Zealous Overreach quest

The best way to decipher the location of the Zealous base is by persuading Mirek Ka’Dic. He’ll tell you that Sahima and the hostages are located in the Shadow Station Epsilon, which you can report back to Razma.

If you were unsuccessful in persuasion, you must find the Zealous base location on your own. For this, follow the waypoint to Mirek’s computer and use Digipicks to break into it. Select the Log 5.8 file to uncover the base’s destination.

Check your Starmap to determine the location of the Zealot base. But before you go, speak to Djimal Ka’Dic to learn about an intriguing offer. Start making your way there to progress further in the mission, and be wary of the enemy Zealots scattered around the area. If you want some cover, you can get their turrets on your side. Enter the building above the quest point, where you should find the Turret Control.

Should you talk or kill Sahima in Starfield Zealous Overreach quest

As you progress in the Starfield Zealous Overreach quest, you’ll be faced with a pivotal decision: Save Sahima or eliminate everyone there. Each choice carries significant consequences and rewards. Eliminating them aligns with Djimal’s plan to sever ties with the Zealots, earning you 10,000 Credits through her deal.

However, it’s not the most compassionate route, as it involves the deaths of the hostages. Characters like Andreja will strongly disapprove of this path, and they may end up hating you as a result. If you’re comfortable with a more morally ambiguous approach, this should be your choice.

Saving Sahima and the hostages gets you everyone’s good side (for the most part). This route gives you 500 Credits (sent to parents), the Extended Mag Modified Va’Ruun Starstorm, and 46 Heavy Particle Fuses. You’ll have some extra work to do, though, since you must clear out the caves and save the hostages. Most of them will be easy to find with the quest waypoint, but two are pretty hidden.

Those who decide to help the rest of the hostages must kill the opponents in the caves. As you may expect, they’ll be pretty hard to deal with, so try to keep your distance to preserve your health.

After dealing with the enemies, head towards the right side near the cave’s stairway. Open the door to find one of the hostages.

Start heading toward the left side to enter a building on the upper floor. Go inside to find the last hostage for the Zealous Overreach quest. Take the elevator below to get out of there quickly.

You must then be present for the negotiations, and having Andreja with you at this point is advisable. As a member of House Va’ruun, she can help facilitate a peaceful resolution. But if you want some mayhem, you’re more than welcome to attack everyone there.

You’ll also have the opportunity to demand 15,000 Credits from Razma if you’re looking to boost your earnings. I found it best to just stick with the good route to avoid any unnecessary conflict. Afterward, use your ship’s waypoint to fast travel back to the main area. This will conclude the Zealous Overreach quest, triggering another mission with Inaza Kaisir.
