Ubisoft Massive‘s Star Wars Outlaws reportedly sold fewer copies across Europe in 2024 than the Respawn-developed Star Wars Jedi Survivor, which came out the year before.
Star Wars Outlaws didn’t get off to the best of starts when it launched back in August 2024, with Ubisoft quickly revealing that the game’s sales “proved softer than expected.” Critical reception wasn’t exactly as positive as Ubisoft had hoped for either, and it wasn’t long before the development team appointed a new creative director for Star Wars Outlaws to help steer it in the right direction. Soon after, a new update was released to removed the forced stealth sections from the game, giving players more choice in how to approach these missions and combat alike.

Now, Christopher Dring has revealed that Outlaws not only performed lower than expectations, but things were pretty bad for the game in Europe, where last year’s Jedi Survivor outperformed the game.
It felt like a bankable hit. Yet it missed spectacularly. Across Europe, the game was the 47th best-selling game of the year, and sold less than Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which was released the year before.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor initially arrived on PS5, PC, and Xbox in 2023, but received a PS4 version in Fall 2024 that actually performs very favourable despite being made for last-generation hardware.
