Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered Reveals Baddies in PS5, PS4 Trailer

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver I & II Remastered is real, and it's happening, with Raziel set to return on PS5 and PS4 on 10th December. Our memories of the first game largely revolve around attempting to impale vampires in creative ways and starving to death in The Spectral Realm, but if you are particularly nostalgic for the game's boss encounters, you can get a quick hit in the above teaser.

New in this version is the introduction of a map and compass, which Aspyr brand manager Matthew Ray detailed in a writeup on the PlayStation Blog. This "thoughtful enhancement" of the original games should mean you spend less time aimlessly wandering the blasted landscapes of Nosgoth, described as a nudge, without giving away specific details. There is also a collection tracker for Health and Energy power-ups, so you'll know when an area has been properly scoured. Ray assures purists these modern caveats can be toggled off if you like.
