Do the monster, er, rush?
- Rush Royale, the hit competitive tower defence game from My.Games is holding a new Halloween event
- It'll feature an opportunity to unlock the new Legendary Gunslinger unit and more
- The event runs from October 23rd through to November 5th.
With Halloween a little over a week away, it's no surprise that the spooky season events are heating up. And it's especially true today as My.Games' hit competitive tower defence Rush Royale is set to introduce its own limited-time event! Featuring a new legendary unit and special challenges, among other things, it promises to be a great new diversion for the witching season.
Running from October 23rd to November 5th, the Rush Royale Halloween event will let you grab the new Legendary Gunslinger unit by spinning the Dark Carousel. Exchange valuable rewards and collectible cards for Sinister Pass Points, and complete activities to unlock this new powerful unit and many more prizes.
But it's not just limited-time events taking place. You'll also be seeing spooky new changes to the battlefield. Feed the pumpking with candy tiles in combat to gain an edge, but beware the deadly Jack-O-Lantern who makes a return with new skills and abilities to claim his sweets back.
Count on it
There's not much else to say opinion-wise, as the Rush Royale event is pretty straightforward. I do think it's good to see more games actually offer new in-game changes and challenges, rather than just additional cosmetics or other rewards, which are nice but don't quite do much to get you into the mood for the season.
But if you're looking for spooky things to play this season, why not get started checking out some of the subjects of our reviews so far? Darkside Detective, for example, is an atmospheric but irreverent point-and-click adventure game that takes you to the town of Twin Lakes to solve strange mysteries.
Or maybe something a little more subversive is more your speed? Spooky Pixel Hero puts you in the shoes of a Q&A tester who discovers the game they're debugging may be more deadly than it seems.
