Random: Xbox's New Robot White Series X Removes One Small Detail

"Green on white would have looked weird"

Last week, Microsoft launched a trio of Xbox Series X and S models. While we've already seen some teardowns going into more technical changes, there's one other small difference with the 1TB All-Digital Xbox Series X (Robot White) model doing the rounds.

As highlighted by the Xbox subreddit, apparently multiple videos of this particular model show how it doesn't feature the "green grill" ventilation like the existing XSX model. It's not clear why exactly it's been removed but one theory is "green on white would have looked weird".

Again, it's not really a big deal, but it's definitely become a bit of a talking point - with some claims it could also be to "save as much money" as possible on the production and sale of the system.

The Robot White Xbox Series X is notably cheaper in price than the other "Galaxy Black" 2TB XSX update. It also obviously doesn't have a disc drive and is instead an "all-digital" version of Microsoft's most powerful console.
