Easily one of the best games of 2024, not just one of the best VR games, Metro Awakening VR arrived on PS VR2 and immediately shot-up to one of the must-play games for anyone who’s taken the plunge on Sony’s second generation of VR.

Developer Vertigo Games and publisher Deep Silver did wonders to bring the world of Metro into virtual reality, with combat and a story that pulls players in and a rich, terrifying atmosphere that keeps you locked in the world long after you’ve taken the headset off.

If you have a PS VR2, and haven’t played Metro Awakening VR, then you need to change that – and even if horror isn’t your bag, at least there’s an arachnophobia mode now to dilute some of the scares.
