At this week’s Meta Connect event, Meta announced a new entry-level headset, the Meta Quest 3S, which starts at $299.99 for the 128 GB model but also has 256 GB version for $100 more. But the company also dropped the price of its premium Meta Quest 3 headset, with the 512 GB version now costing $499.99 (was $649.99). If you don’t want to wait on the Quest 3S’s Oct. 15 launch, you can still benefit from the lineup refreshments by picking up the top-tier model today at $150 cheaper than it used to cost.

$430

Meta’s new Quest 3 mixed-reality headset boasts double the graphical processing power of its predecessor, richer audio, and more precise controls for even more immersive VR and AR experiences.

This also means the 128 GB version of the Meta Quest 3 is being sunsetted, and while Amazon has already stopped selling that version, GameStop is offering this lower-storage version of Quest 3 for $429.99, or as low as $404.99 if you have GameStop Pro. Even at that cost, we’re hesitant to recommend anyone pick up the 128 GB model — the 128 GB Quest 3S will be more than $100 cheaper, and by all accounts, it looks to be fairly comparable feature-wise. Still, if storage is not an concern and you’re looking for something to have next week, $400 is around the lowest price we’ve historically seen the Quest 3 to date.
