PS5's Welcome Hub Updated to Promote Sony's Forthcoming FPS

PS5’s landing page, the Welcome Hub, gets updated from time-to-time with new wallpapers and features.

And a few weeks removed from Marathon’s release, the platform holder has refreshed it with a new background inspired by Bungie’s extraction shooter.

Unfortunately, this isn’t animated and doesn’t include any of the fancy sound effects from the festive fireplace added over Christmas.

In fact, considering the excellent aesthetic employed by the aforementioned outing, we find the background’s red hue a little bland overall.

Sony absolutely could have done better here, but perhaps it’ll add more Marathon-themed backgrounds in the future – assuming the FPS is a success, we suppose.
