Do you believe in a Codless plan?

Earlier this year, Xbox announced a much-needed price cut for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, but with one glaring caveat - future Call of Duty titles would no longer arrive on the service "day one".
Instead, new Call of Duty games would be added to the subscription service's most expensive tier "the following holiday after launch (about a year later)".
Listen, I'm all for making Xbox Game Pass Ultimate more affordable. I've been slumming it in the Essential tier myself for some time now. That said, I'm not sold on removing day-one additions, even if we're only talking about Call of Duty.
It's not as though we're going to be completely 'Codless', as I've jokingly called it. Just this week, Call of Duty: Vanguard joined the Ultimate, PC, and Premium tiers of Xbox Game Pass, so we're still in for lots of virtually shooting bad guys with guns.
