Niantic has just announced the return of the Harvest Festival in Pokémon Go, as we celebrate all the crops grown this year. The event, set to take place between November 7th and 12th, will bring back seasonal fun and some exciting new features. Whether you’ve got your eyes on a rare Pokémon or are just looking to stock up on some resources, this limited-time event has you covered.
To kick things off, Shiny Pumpkaboo will have an increased chance of being encountered during the Harvest Festival. You can also expect to earn 2x Candy for catching Pokémon, making it easier to stock up on resources. Additionally, Mossy Lure Modules will attract more Pokémon, including fan-favourites like Alolan Exeggutor, Snorlax, and Smoliv.
In terms of wild encounters, you can expect a boost in appearances from Pokémon like Oddish, Exeggcute, Hoppip, and Miltank. The event also introduces the debut of Shiny Smoliv, giving you the opportunity to encounter a Shiny version of this Pokémon for the first time. Keep your eyes peeled, as Super Size Pumpkaboo might also show up if luck is on your side.
Now for the more quest-oriented trainers, you can take part in Field Research Tasks, which will reward you with encounters with Pumpkaboo in any size as well as Smoliv. And if you're willing to shell out some cash, a Timed Research ticket is available for $2.00, offering rewards like Mossy Lure Modules, Incense, a Lucky Egg, and Smoliv encounters.
Before you go on, check out this list of redeemable Pokémon Go codes!
For a little extra challenge, there will be Collection Challenges to complete. Successfully finishing these will earn you Stardust and more chances to encounter Smoliv. To top it all off, be on the lookout for PokéStop Showcases, where you can showcase your event-themed Pokémon and compete for bragging rights.
